I’ve been surfing the forums for a little bit and I originally wanted a skyjacker 3 inch lift. But after looking through the forums, I see that running Bilstein 5100 and OME Coils seem to be the preferred choice and I was also wondering if I should go with 885 or 887. I plan on running rear add a leafs and wanted to ask what brands you guys recommend. I just wanted to know if all this seems about right since I’m fairly new to the truck scene. I also have zero knowledge of body lifts, so should I run a 1 inch body lift with all this? My goal is just to have a lift with bigger tires without having an excessively tall lift. Thanks in advance

The 887 springs around going to give you around 3" of lift which would probably require aftermarket UCAs to get the truck properly aligned.

Any specific brand of UCAs you’d recommend?

Mild lift and some tasty bits
I just installed Bilstein 6112's and the Bilstein 600lb springs. Got them assembled from Headstrong and I really like them. I have a Toytec Add a Leaf on the rear with Bilstein 5160's. Good ride. Good lift. I got the needle bearing sound as a result of the lift and I'm doing a differential drop and installing the ECSG bushing to cure that. I wish I had done it all at the same time.
I've also installed Bilstein 5100's with OME spring's on 3 friend's second gens and they like them a lot. One of them recently upgraded to an Icon Stage 3 setup and I asked him if he could feel a difference and he said the Icon felt a little better but he wasn't sure it was worth the extra $1,500 it cost him.

SPC Light Racing and JBA are great UCAs without jumping up to the next price bracket.

2nd the SPC Light Racing UCAs. Great caster and camber adjustable that not all brands offer.

Buy them with the springs and dampers from Headstrong and they discount them significantly.

Lastly, with 3" up front, it could be tricky to get enough lift in the back with AAL alone. Several AAL packs are 1.5-2". I got 1.5" with the Headstrong AAL and the overload removed. If you leave your overload in there you might get close depending on your rake / if you have any weight in the back. You might either need a new pack or additional spacers. Measure it up and see.

How much lift are you running up front?

    I don’t haul/ tow much so I don’t think I’ll need the heavier duty shocks/ springs

I got the 884s, so about 2” (driver shim to reduce lean)

the HS AALs gave me about 1.5” rear.

With my cap I have just about an inch of rake still. So I guess you could do 3” up front and be close to level, especially if you don’t have weight in the back.
