    It’s been a while since our last silver freeze. The last time we got it here it warmed up just enough to snow and then froze again. That pattern lasted for two weeks. Power was out for days. Roads were stupid crazy. Stay safe.

    Morning all

    Yeah Racine is far south but right on the lake. We were there one winter and had blue skies and it was snowing. I had never heard of lake effect snow.

    Oregon is still waiting but I have 5 more years, might be 7. I am heading there next week to inspect the main water line they had to replace and get the internet set up. Because we are remote, we had to have spectrum construction run lines to our house. Its nice to have space but this is something I didn't think about.

    When I do retire all I want to worry about is when crabbing, Salmon And clamming is in season.

    Yep, it looked just like that here when I got up this morning but it changed over to snow just after dawn. The lights flickered several times but the power stayed on. Now it's a winter wonderland out there.

    you were no help. i had to do all the lifting.

    i am proud of myself that i managed to get all of the boxes for my village arranged in the right order so the lid on the bigger box closed. been a couple years since i could remember exactly how it needed to be packed. hope i remember to take a pic of it next year before i pull everything out
