Had a good truck day today. Changed the air filter, oil, transferred my hood struts over, and fixed this annoying heat shield rattle. My truck sounded like it was falling apart but not anymore.

Some additions to the "oh shit" tool selection:

    -wire stripper/crimper
    -butt connectors/terminals
    -mechanics wire
    -Allen keys or sockets

Allen sockets are a must, I’ve got some too. I used to carry some basic electrical stuff but I’ve yet to use it (knock on wood). That’s why I stopped.

I forgot to add a test light or logic probe and some fuses....

Electrical to me is one of those things that doesn't give much, if any, warning before it fails. That's definitely the one thing I want to prepare for.

Mechanics wire is a must. Better than zipties and no daisy chaining.

Just came back from Harbor Freight and got half the stuff I wanted. I need to see what I already have. I've typically put throw-away tools in my truck and I don't really know what I have. I also opted for a huge tool roll instead of the case. I stood in Harbor Freight for 30 minutes trying to make a decision. They also had a cheaper case that was the same size, but not waterproof and stuff. Had slots and dividers for organization though. And half the price. All in case anyone else is doing some shopping.

I decided to change my spark plugs today too since I was a little overdue. 50k on these but they really don’t look too bad. Gap was around the .045 mark and I gap them to .040 when installing.

On those, you're not really going by color. Shape of center electrode says you're fairly due.

Oh I was definitely due. Our interval is 30k. I just meant they’re not wet or excessive corrosion or anything indicative of a larger problem.

Yup. No running issues apparent. Run them until the ceramic falls off!

I wish I owned this house so I could epoxy the floor. I’m sure the owners wouldn’t mind if I did but I’m not about to spend the money on a house that’s not mine.

Ok ok, I can't stand the damn suspense myself! I just need to be careful how many threads I post the news in!

So, I've been AWOL twice now for a longer than an acceptable amount of time but I think most of you will agree, research in a matter like this is crucial for the benefit and prosperity of all involved individuals.

Debbie and I would like to introduce you all to the new member of our family. Her name is Phoenix and she's a year and less than a month old Rescue Pittie mix.

Congrats rob!! That’s so exciting! I know you hadn’t had a dog recently due to not having enough time at home for one, so I’m really glad you are able to make it work. Dogs are awesome and bring such warmth to a home. Our house always feels a bit empty without tony here.

The airbag stays off when my kiddo rides which is the "safe" way she doesn't weigh enough so the sensor kills the airbag and I get the off light. It does the samething with groceries or something. I have had enough weight on the seat to kick it on and the damn thing beeps at me to buckle up and stuff (stupid big ass dog).

edit: Shoot the aftermarket seats. So I'd need to do something like this to run a PRP seat on the DS then I guess???

Edit edit: holy crap there are really that many load sensors under the seats that's nuts.

The load sensor is only on the passenger side. I was just sharing since you wanted aftermarket seats too. You did mention only wanting to do the drivers side so this is all the more reason lol

Since your daughter rides up front sometimes, this hose clamp solution wouldn’t work for you since it wouldn’t be safe (airbag would still be on).
