Those oscillating tool I think that's what you would call it...I don't have one but my cousin does and have seen it work. Pretty amazing.

Finished the power supply mount. Thought about it some more and realized I wasn't gaining anything from that top piece I made the other day. I tried to repurpose it for the bottom-right bracket but cut it off short.

    20210101_182051.jpg

Clearanced the rails to match the fan size. Also, had to cut a clearance in one top rail for a case cover mounting tab.

Finally, I marked out the case cover to start dilling the ventilation holes for the side radiator. Only a couple holes to drill. :bananadead:

I like my oscillating tool. Used for a number of different jobs. I really like the triangle sander head.

    :D

Alreay broke my #48 drill and lost my #47 drill that I started drilling pilot holes with. :annoyed: Final hole size will be #32.

Yeah. I could go straight to the final size, but the smaller drill finds the punch mark better.

I do this and then wonder why my hole got off centered!! Sometimes it’s best not to rush through something just to get it done

Very true. I drilled 3 partial rows in probably 30-45 minutes. I wasn't watching the time, so I'm not 100% sure. However, the covers took a pretty good bend drilling them. I used my oscillating tool to sand the burrs down and a 1# dead blow to flatten it. I foresee having to do this multiple times.

It's sheet metal. Less than 1/8".

It’s amazing how something so thin can eat drill bits.

I thought this might be going to suggesting a small center drill ?

Yeah. I'm not sure why the #48 broke. I was probably 30 holes in when it broke. Drilled 3 holes to final size without a pilot and the rest with the #47. Drilled 76 holes in total. Only about 1100 more to go.

Drill press or freehand hand drill? Much higher chance if by hand.
Too much drilling for me, but keep up the good work!

Are you drilling with a hand held drill or small drill press? Either way I would suggest looking at a center drill for pilot and get a perishable piece of plywood to drill into (any wood backing) after that pilot go to finish size. Keep a small amount of cutting fluid in small container to dip drill tip in. My 2 cents worth
