I may have missed it when you say cruse control version. Are you referring to shift points are from what Mat posted his cruse shift points are? Or the torque maps adjusted?

I looked through this tune and I'm curious about the Primary shifting 2,3,4,5,6,8 maps. I noticed when I compare it to to stock 2.0 maps that it is only the downshift 4-5 and 5-6 tables that were adjusted. Is that all that is needed for the Cruise control adjustment?

@IdahoTaco Its Paparee's torque maps and shift points from Mild&Wild with his Cruise Control maps.
@ry18Tac: yes only the 4-5 and 5-6 tables are adjusted. I could not test it out in Cruise Control yet (have the adaptive cruise control) - will do that as soon as the roads here are free of ice again

When you say torque maps are you referring the Torque for shifting maps?

I’m not sure what you are asking about. I explained my changes about a page back. But here you go again.
-copied all the primary shifting maps to 2,3,4,5,6,8 (we believe 6&8 are Cruise Control maps on 04B04)
-decreased 5-4 & 6-5 downshifts on all maps to keep truck from downshifting to 4th so easily in CC and with regular driving.
    - copied the torque 9 map to the torque 10 map to get increases in the area that OVtune suggested.
    - adjusted downshift maps 2 & 3 to stop “clunk”

I’m drinking beer, watching football at my hunting camp, but ask away if you have any more questions about my tune.

How were you able to make 04A61 versions of VFTuner dislikes that ID? Or did I miss the patch?

I'm assuming they do what I do:
Install a previous version of VF, make changes, revert back to current version.

Either that or they just never updated to the most up to date version.

I did not update my vftuner yet - with the older version you can still open it.

Are these tunes actually worth it??? From previous vehicles it just never seemed worth it unless there was turbo involved.

Yes it is! It isn't going to add crazy hp like a turbo car but it makes these trucks drive so much better. More low end power and doesn't shift to a different gear 50 times in a minute

@Kleach18 I’ll be the first to say I haven’t read all the responses but any MPG gains?

That's a loaded question because you are asking folks who purchased the Tunes so of course we will says it's WORTH IT! Now Let me say I'm new to the tune stuff but I'm currently running Matt's 2.0 premium tune and defiantly different from stock. Please read the different tune threads and make your own decision. I haven't read of anyone who wished they DIDN'T tune they truck BUT maybe there are some out there, I just haven't read or heard of one yet.

I agree. I’ve had NA vehicles tuned and thought it was worth it but then owned a Turbo Audi and the tune afterwards was amazing... obviously my Taco isn’t a performance vehicle. Just looking for some better fuel efficiency and some umpf

I have increased my tip in, and saw an increase in MPG's. It no longer takes me 5 minutes to get up to speed from a stop. I get up to my desired speed faster, then cruise along.

There are a lot of great folks here on TW making some great tunes. Just remember everybody's truck is setup different (weight, tire size, gears and so on) so many tunes in the tune pack aren't for all. That's what is great about this tuner/software YOU can make changes to the tunes to fix your needs. Also Matt owner of OVtune is constantly making tunes and software better for us at NO cost.

(Disclaimer: I have NO affiliation with OVtune!) I'm just a happy guy with his new Tuner/Software!

Buddy I don’t think that’s possible, umpf comes at cost. Maybe gaining back fuel economy offset by mods is possible but overall drivability is seemingly what folks are after. I have a bone stock 2wd DC only mod being +1 size SL tires. Tame as the tires are they’re not the p265 65 17 stockers that I constantly got 475+miles per tank. That coupled with a tune I now struggle getting 400, FWIW...

    Yes,

My taco isn’t a performance oriented vehicle. Just want some more low end and MPG
