I want yellow fogs, but I'm not willing to replace my lights (yet!). Who has used the rigid industry covers or the laminx? Pros, cons, things you wished you'd known? Bonus points for photos!

I haven’t had my Lamin-X on long enough to make an opinion, but here are pics none the less.

I used Lamnix on both of my fog light setups. Cheap, easy to install, and gave me the exact yellow output I wanted.

I got the Rigid covers for my fogs. Can’t compare to lamin-x as I haven’t tried that. I’ve been happy with them. Easy to install and remove if I get tired of them.

Just installed the Lamin-X on mine. The look and color output is great, but they don’t give you enough material on the pre-cut ones...doesn’t cover all of the lens. If had to do over, would order some of the sheets of material they offer and just cut to fit.

Amber Lamin-x on OEM LEDs. Makes a good color and actually improves my visibility in fog/snow. Plus looks cool. Easy (but tricky) install and cheap. I ripped one of my films and Lamin-x is sending me a replacement—good customer service!

I had Laminx on my first set of fogs for about a year and they held up great. I’ve used the same film on my other cars in the past and those lasted 2-3 years with no issues before I sold the vehicles.

I ordered Laminix yellow for my SR5. Hope to put it on when the weather improves. At least it is reversible if you don't like it. It was cheaper than buying new bulbs too.

I have been I have been using Lamin-X for almost 20 years on glass headlights. I will replace it every 4 years. Their warranty is 5 years against cracking, fading, turning yellow.
I bought Lamin-X sheets, custom cut a template for my Tacoma headlights, and slapped them on 3 years ago. I just replaced them three months ago.

i have the same yellow covers. i have the laminx here also but never installed it after finding the covers, because they snap on. these fogs don't have high output so I'm gonna say the difference between the covers and the laminx on the Rigid pro fogs is negligible.

    Covers here as well.

Zero complaints, although I found that it did reduce the output a bit, although with the 2020 LED headlamps, I barely notice the fogs anymore. I don't love how amber the cover is during the day, but the yellow color at night is pleasing.

    EDIT:
[IMG]IMG_7741 by Mike M, on Flickr

The DD SS3s are super nice, but for the $20 they charge for the covers, it's a no-brainer.

Damn this one hits home my wife would murder me if she found out I spent 500 on fog lights. This is after I casually mentioned I spent 550 on a roof rack that won’t be here for 8 weeks .....
