My wife and I decided to use our stimulus money for other things but I am here to follow along. I keep a small amount of play money in stocks and I am curious to see how all of you do! Best of luck to everyone!

this sounds like fun. ive wanted to try some options trading, but honestly dont pay attention enough to keep at it. count me in for the roller coaster @600.

I made that call because in some states it's very hard to trade crypto. I mean, I'm not gonna stop you if that's what you want to do, but I figured we'd keep the "contest" to things that are easily accessible to most people. Stocks, options, SPACS, funds, etc.

Did a little research. Technically I made too much last year (2019) to be eligible for either the first one or this second one. But I got the first full $600, and $430 this time.

I don't think anybody actually knows how it's supposed to work lol.

I dont think we need proof of deposits, just take $600 and set it aside for your plan.

The OP makes it sound like you post proof of the value/trades, not the deposit. Why would it matter where the $600 comes from? It's all yours in an account, does it matter which one?

 

I'll let @kairo chime in but I understood it to be a fresh deposit of $600. It doesn't matter whether that money is from stimulus but what does matter is that it's a real deposit in that amount.

 

Doesn’t matter to me, but 600 you were already trading is different from taking that fresh 600 and throwing in there. But nobody is going to kick anyone out, it’s all in good fun. Only thing that really matters is value gained or lost on 600 after the start date.
