I've taken the side cover off transmission to inspect and very little wear showing in there. I cleaned out small amount of synchro material and wiped off the magnet in there. Put cover back on and new seals in it. Also changed the 4:56 rear gears out to the original 3.70 that prev owner still had.

You'll find that 3.70 gear to be a great all-around street gear. Had 3.73's in a SS Chevelle in the day. Could get out of the hole strong & still top-end decent.
One of these days I'll put the 4.11s back in my '69 Z, 4.88s still in it from my younger days...

I don't recall numbers HP and torque but the engine put together similar to a few builds in super chevy and another magazine, Dart 400 starts making a good amount of torque fairly low in rpm's...it should rip pretty good I'm thinking. My build not dyno but those other 2 builds both 500 hp and torque at crank on dyno, tad over even...

Actually had a couple of them, the silver one was my first, and the blue one is the most recent one I let go. They are fun cars and were often underrated as to the power they had for a heavy car with a V6.

I think it is more new drivers then anything else in my case that never had experience with country deliveries .

The GPS says this is the place box gets tossed out . My neighbor is a son of one of the local building Contractors if you really don`t know it looks like his house goes with my shop where I live.

So even though delivery instructions state deliver to shop either man door or overhead door they figure they are being good delivering to the house .

Mine is just a regular old house in town. My problem with the tube steps was they were ordered from Amazon, made it to Sioux Falls, SD, then... nothing. I got ahold of UPS to look for it and that came back as "sorry, can't find it" so I had to cancel the Amazon order and bought new ones from Real Truck instead.

If that's about the worst I've had, besides things showing up a day late, I really can't complain. :)

I feel like today might be a good one to head West to Lincoln in search of a artificial Christmas tree clearance priced somewhere. Scheels sporting good there too! Wife said ten years of that old tree it's finished...
