I have no idea how he figured out where to cut his holes. I guess if you screw up, there should be plenty of spare A pillars around from people installing the KTJO handle.

I preach that story almost every day to my team. People have a reasonable expectation that their transaction will go smooth, but it how you react when things go wrong that are the true measure of customer satisfaction. Successful business accept responsibility and find ways to make it right. Once your reputation goes bad, it is almost impossible to get it back.

I just measured the hole spacing on my 2nd gen A-pillar grab handles. Both driver and passenger sides came in at 20 cm (~7.875"). I guess that means the lower bracket on 3rd gens isn't carried over, but rather welded at a new position just to take the plastic clip?

Her responses today on her Instagram post from 3 days ago (the one explaining paying shipping online) makes me wish I had just cancelled... like an idiot I paid shipping yesterday after finally getting an email...

Received from KTJO: M8 bolt clip + 2 identical M6 bolts... + 2 lower bolt covers (no upper). So to the hardware store I go.

But wait, not all hardware stores carry a long (55mm + ) M8 hex head bolt.

But wait again, after I found one (4th store), I _still_ cannot get it to work.

As other posts have noted, the hole angle/trajectory in the plastic A pillar cover does not line up with the nut angle (upper or lower). By using an M8 nut/bolt, there is less tolerance in the plastic cylinder on the A pillar cover. I gave up after 45 minutes. Anybody have suggestions? I will order 6mm weld/spring nuts from Amazon, etc.

Thank you. But seriously another option would be for a ~$200 product to have the right parts.

I'm so confused now on whether I was supposed to pay the shipping. Her comment makes it sound like only the very early pre-orders needed to still pay shipping. However, she didn't print a label for mine until I finally paid shipping. I don't understand how it is so incredibly hard for her to communicate effectively and efficiently. :goingcrazy::facepalm:

It also amazes me that she keeps saying 1000 orders. When 2 pallets were sent to TB and she supposedly only ordered 1000 to start.

Yeah. Somehow our fault. If shipping was fixed on the website for everyone in early 2020, why didn’t she reach out to the ‘very early orders’ to remedy in, say, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, etc., etc., to not have those orders at the very end of her order fulfillment line.

She isn’t coming across to me as anyone who actually cares about her customers. I’m done with her, and won’t recommend her to any of my Tacoma friends.

I don't think her website was fixed with the shipping like she says... unless it was included in the cost of the handle. I paid $170 something but shipping said 0.00 and I ordered in July 2020. I mean unless she thinks "pre orders in the very beginning" also included orders 6 months after the very beginning in Nov/Dec 19. Who even knows anymore.

weird. I was in 12/19 so I assumed it was all sorted out shortly after that. Idk... I hope it’s not a headache when it gets here, and I am not even more disappointed.

Wish I would have known this before I ordered. Got my handle but the hardware is wrong. Send an email....nothing. Try to call. Nothing. Voicemail box full. Seems like I just sunk $170 into a door stop - at this point, not sure I want to put this thing on.

Her “lists” are all pre-orders. Even ones placed yesterday. Must be very chaotic at grab handle HQ.

I wonder if these would fit there 3rd gen Tacoma?
Same dimensions maybe? Since I have done soundproofing my headliner doesn't fit quit right so the rear grab handles can't be fit.

I can't understand why any of you guys continue to support her and her business. Her products are not worth the frustration and the quality is seriously lacking. She has zero quality control systems in place and that's why she has issues with every product she brings to market.(but the problems are someone else's fault, never her own. her vendor's, the customer, her employer, her sick grandmother, Toyota, etc...)
There's a reason shes been banned from this site and others.
