Looking up online that comemerative 30/30 kinda mediocre results... but it is old data. Some say they arent worth much over cost of original but everything is high right now.

Weird he offered 2K for it however the monetary value is worthless to me it’s sentimental value with this one and the pump action.
All the other firearms I posses are just things I enjoy and are just a random thought away from the chopping block.

My trusty ol 270 wasnt worth much new, but its killed all kinds of animals. Its got tons sentimental value to me.

Take the barrel off the black-powered and oil it up. That rust doesn’t look too bad.

I wouldn’t polish it at all.

I appreciate your input my knowledge of black powder and classic firearms is zero other than the operation of them. I’m YouTubing it now to comprehend the whole cleaning process.

 

Its not awful but takes time.. i had shot one of mine and didnt clean it after and took forever to get the rust off/ out of it...

 

My knowledge is not that extensive, but i have learned from mistakes my dad made. He took his father’s winchester .22 and completely refinished it, eliminating any value from having it in original condition. I’d never sell it anyway.

My firearms all get taken down and a wipe down with oil at least twice a year. More for the ones I use regularly. My flintlock got pretty bad at one point cause I use it and have it out in the elements. I took it to a shop a few years back to get it in working order. They basically said keep it oiled up and clean the barrel after each use.
