Has a bill been submitted? I didnt see anything listed but might have missed it. But i do remember hearing about it and it had a TON of flaws and unanswered questions to it.

There is a gas tax bill that i see (a 9 cent raise).
    https://wyoleg.gov/Legislation/2021/HB0026

The best I saw was a raise on Drivers License fees. Only $5 bucks which isnt bad. BUT its projected to bring in ~$8 million a year. But is going to cost the state $80 million to setup.....

And let me tell you reviewing bills in WY is a hell of a lot quicker than doing it in WA. So many fewer. And yes Im an odd ball who actually goes through a vast majority of potential bills >.>

Wy only. And it would apply only to wy residence which is odd. But you cant ask people from out of state to log their miles haha

    Nah you're fine

    https://wakeupwyo.com/bill-to-impose-road-user-charges-filed-in-wyoming-legislature/

Link is in that article. Lot of missing stuff in it I think.

    I doubt it'll pass.

Should just wake up and put an income tax or corporate tax. Corporate one would bring in a lot from the rich folk tax dodging in Jackson alone haha

Washington has been proposing this every year for like the past decade. It was supposed to replace gas tax here. It's not going to happen

You either track it, or pay the max assumed mileage at the end of the year. So it would be on you. You'd pay for the whole year so however many miles you drive you pay the rate, though im no 100% sure what rate you'd pay they didn't seem to specify that super good. But I didn't look in fine detail.

And no out of state people would be applicible by the looks of it. You can't make out of state people track their mileage so doesn't make sense. Which is why I think it's dumb. If you're going to do a road tax, make I80 a toll road. Least you'd get money from the truckers.

Or if you're going to add a tax, add the corporate tax in for fucks sake. Then maybe the income. But this is just dumb.

Cheers to 2021:cheers:. 2020 was a actually a great year for me. Finally landed and started a new permanent job (that I love), bought an amazing new home/property, made a bunch of new friends, and got to spend a lot of time with the pups while teleworking.

Looking forward to the adventures 2021 brings and I am sure I’ll be seeing a few of you at some point.

They just need to implement a 40% income and capital gains tax in Teton county only, would clear that place out in a hurry

Did you trade the 3rd gen?

    God that would be glorious

Ah okay, same family. Keep up on the oil filter housing gaskets and valve cover/PCV (they're both known to leak pretty commonly) you'll get a smoky turbo especially if that PCV decides to shit the bed. Sometimes the stupid plastic Valve covers crack too and make a huge air leak and it'll just start running like dookie out of nowhere. Same with coilpacks, they're super high failure rate and the Denso and Bosch ones shouldn't be mixed if you buy replacements. Other than that the little N engines are pretty fun, I don't think the single turbo models like that had the awful wastegate rattle or constantly failing high pressure fuel pumps. If it ever refuses to start or start and idle right it probably needs a walnut blasting cause the intake valves build up shit. Should be a fun little rig though, the N engines have good support and are easy enough for a home gamer to work on as long as you have ProTool and an affinity for bloody knuckles.

The 4 banger ones are the same design as the sixers. They share a lot of the same upsides (great power potential and support) and unfortunately the same downsides (way over complicated design and extreme planned obsolescence). They don't age gracefully, but you'll have a ton of fun and you'll know when it's time to walk away. Way better than a newer one with a B series or a S series, those are so damn hard to work on and half the codes and documentation can only be read/accessed by the proprietary bimmer computers.
