I would shorten the front end a few inches. So it doesn’t look longer than the back end on the double cabs.

Having owned some performance trucks I grew to appreciate those amenities. It’s probably something you’ll never know. Lol.

Toyota needs to offer true off-road packages to compete with the likes of Ford’s Sasquatch. Toyota keeps playing make believe with “blacked out emblems and black exhaust tips”, then we pay top dollar and build the trucks up ourselves.

They need to simply offer the current vehicle with:

    1. a corrected transmission or matching diffs as others have stated.

    2. front e-locker along with the existing rear

    3. sway bar disconnects

    4. a 3” suspension option from Fox (the relationship is already there)

    5. 285s standard

X2 it can be done Ford proved it with the raptor. They came in 3rd in Baja 1000 using a bone stock SVT truck, and I hate fords but give credit for that one.

There's five half tons with V8s and more room to pick from, buying a Tacoma and complaining about not having these things is like dating a fat chick and bitching that she's not skinny

No I don’t know that. The last I saw in the threads by a supposed insider was Aug. 2021 design date (final design completion) for release in 2024 model year. Some talk about a hybrid. I also know that dates tend to be fluid in most industries, and Tundra date sliding demonstrates that. I’m gonna hold out for more solid info.

All major design was locked last year. 2021 is for electronics and safety systems. And yes, all dates are fluid. But c'mon man, some of the ideas in this thread are beyond wishful and probably zero of them will be incorporated in the 4th gen.

Link to your source? Or do you work for Toyota? The only good sources I’ve seen were for final design of the modular frame design shared with other models. I don’t think a hybrid is wishful thinking, sources I’ve read tend to indicate it’s likely. True lots of wishful thinking here but interesting to read what people want.

Just a Snug Top with Sportsman’s package 1 inch lift and 265/75-16 Duratracs.
Can we start by making the front seat cushions a little longer or at least having adjustable thigh support. The overall size of the truck is perfect but couldn’t they give up like 4-5 inches of that dead space in front of the radiator and give that to the rear seat leg room?

Or ideally I’d have a new Raptor for a “family rig” and then have a built wheeler Tacoma all set up crazy for trips.

Shorten the nose by 5-6 inches, lower the hood line so you can actually see something in front of you and lighten up the hood.
