Obviously we’re just the poor shmucks who didn’t wait to buy a new one with 360 view. Guess I’ll go burn my truck now...

The dead space is for pedestrian safety. Which is why anyone in the know laughed when Tesla rolled out that abortion a while back

Bring back the regular cabs with 6 foot bed.
Offer a dressed up SR with out all the crap they insist on maxing these trucks out with. I want a SR that looks like a SR5. No mustaches.
I like to see a Tacoma that is intended to be driven and not be a rolling entertainment center.
I know I am getting old but I would love to buy a new truck that had crank windows and no air conditioning which I never use.
The only modern option I would even want is Cruise control.

I hate looking at a screen when I am driving. Something that is big like a motor coach that can actually benefit from having a camera is one thing. The Tacoma does not need cameras.

Lol Toyota has already said hybrid will be a possible option so I don't consider that wishful. The guys who want old school stuff like crank windows is the wishful stuff.
I am following the new Land Cruiser quite closely as it could be something off roady.

I don't even need cruise control. When looking at the Tacoma on line the list of features has a segment for entertainment. Driving a vehicle is enough entertainment. The driver does not need any supplemental entertainment.

Yeah it’s pretty sad how bad it’s gotten. I’m in my mid 30s and barely grew up middle class. Having grown up in the Silicon Valley I got to experience living in both worlds as a kid. I’m glad I was late to everything smart phone and social media wise. It’s interesting to see how kids are these days and frankly it’s a little sad honestly. I see them frantically scrolling on their phones when in public or always talking about others fake lives on social media.

On the other hand you mention the safety thing. I’m big time into cars and if you look at how cars were styled up until the 80s you’d know certain things will never come back. Things like the Ferrari Dino or old Porsches could never have the body lines and low hoods today. All the old sub 3k pound sports cars are just so cool, but man, they’d sheer off pedestrians below the knees if they ever struck someone.

It’s true. I’ll admit I only use CC for short periods when I need to stretch but as for all the entertainment crap I think it’s more or less pointless. I just drove to Idaho and back to the Bay Area with no radio the entire way. It was awesome!

I’m a mechanic and of obviously I drive a bunch of cars. It’s amazing all the crap people outfit their cars with. People have newer cars with good factory navigation and they put in these crappy ass heads up displays, wide view mirrors, cameras, plus all the cell phone mounts and chargers. Its over whelming driving those cars, way too much crap dangling in my vision. Frankly any car made since the 90s should generally have decent visibility if you just adjust everything correctly.

In conclusion the Tacoma needs a 24 way power adjustable seat heated and cooled, a heads up display, homelink, crotch coolers, Apple CarPlay, Andriod Auto with 21 Pilots and The Weekend preloaded on loop, needs to be able to drive itself, head rests need TVs because the kids are just as dead inside as the driver with Paw Patrol on a loop, needs a 360 cam just because the wife likes to park up front at Costco next to Karen's Chevy Tahoe that's always parked sideways, the bed outlets need to be able to support running a TV and a dish receiver because no camping trip would be the same without a TV, needs Wilton carpets, grab handles on all pillars, a multi function power tailgate, gas hood struts, a pano roof, three lockers, a solid front axle, it needs to ride like a Rolls, rev to 12000 RPM, but here's the kicker it needs a manual transmission.

Oh it needs to cost $25k, but be in limited supply so not everyone has one at Starbucks. It also needs to be built in the Unites States by Irishman with red hair, but don't build it on a Friday or a Monday if you can believe that shit. The owner will remove wrap guard so no PDI required he knows best as he buys a car wash package from some gas station that recycles water during the washing process.

I want the steering wheel stereo volume to be up/down, not left/right. That’s my biggest hope for 4G taco.
