Also paid for Priority. Label was created on the 31st, received by USPS today the 2nd. Says expected delivery the 6th. Based on how slow the mail has been here, I doubt that will happen. Just thankful it's on the way. Can't fault her for any delay now.

Been taking 2 weeks for a bill payment to get to the next state. You have to keep an eye on everything so it's not late. Almost like they are trying to push people to online payments. Probably part of the plan to do away with cash to gain more control over people.

Mine also reflects Priority Mail - left Portland Post Office at 10:09 PM on Dec 28 and list as arriving on time on Jan 4.......but it has not appeared anywhere in the system since it left Portland - just updates every day as In Transit, Arriving On Time.

    Sure.

That's messed up... I had a feeling it wasn't sent priority (sadly not surprised either). I know USPS misses the delivery date all the time, but they're usually really good at making sure to give you the false hope of it arriving in the 1-3 days.

It is actually starting to feel personal at this point. Charge me for shipping after not explaining how to settle up for shipping, I select the most reasonable option, she chooses the $.30 cheaper option as her delivery method.

Ya, my lesson learned from all this is not to pre-order. Had to be repeated a few times in my life but this time it will stick.

Ok relax, that’s the first slip up I’ve seen through this entire operation. I’m sure she’s already reached out to you to refund the $0.30 difference and apologize. No need to drag her name through the dirt while she’s trying to help the Tacoma community by collecting $170k as a favor to us ON TOP OF a working a full time job.

Some people just don’t understand how hard it is to take on too big a task and find an excuse for EVERY SINGLE THING that goes wrong. Obviously she’s not at fault here.

Bit the bullet and spent the additional $.59 for an M6 clip the install the handle. Now that it’s on I’m happy with it. Not concerned too much with safety aspect but it was/is in the back of my mind. Airbag appears to deploy through the rubber door seal (path of least resistance) from what I’ve studied.

I do think ktjo makes decent stuff (I have the bowl lights and about to install the center console outlet) - the quality to me is pretty close to OEM, but not perfect. The quality control and customer service on the other hand leaves a lot of be desired. Just some ole communication would be great start. You know, respond to emails. Answer your phone. The handle is not a cheap upgrade for what it is but it’s the closest thing to factory available. And for all those who ordered and haven’t received yet I fee for. I guess I must have gotten lucky because I order mod-December and received last week.

I forgot I bought the bowl lights. Guess I'll put them in when I put the A Pillar on. Maybe one will go in without a hitch.

Door bowl lights are easy. Just tape the extra long cords with TESA tape or electrical to minimize rubbing noises if that bothers you.

I hate rattles, squeaks etc so it was a factor for me

In case it wasn’t a typo- you need m6 bolt and nut not m8, maybe that’s why your install was more difficult/tight?

More difficult besides the plug n pray aspect

Got mine today in the mail.............
Just a quick first impression - no install, yet.
Texture and color is nice on handle and pillar. Handle has a nice heavy weight to it.
Bolt covers are less than impressive regarding fitment/gaps, other than that it "looks" like a quality piece.
I did get 2 different length bolts. That's good news. Also good that they are 8.8's, so not the softest grade out there. I had to chase the threads on both of them though as they were dinged up somehow.
U nut is the correct M6x1.00, but it does seem quite cheap. Opting to go for a heavier, self-centering clip when the time comes to install it.
Crossing my fingers that the install won't drive me to drink.

My last truck prior to this one was a 2018 Sierra and it did not come from the factory with a DAH, either. BUT, GMC did make one for you to buy if you wanted one. That was a true plug 'n play install.

I was able to sort this out with KTJO and she is making it right- the shipping labels are auto created off the order for the handle. The handle order defaults to parcel select, and since it isn’t connected in her system to the purchase of the stand-alone shipping through the website, it sounds like a manual effort to cross reference. Or at least that’s how I’m understanding it.

Based on some messaging back and forth, it sounds like there are less than 20 or so of us late on paying shipping and getting handles. Hope it’s almost sorted out for all of us.

Note this is weaker than the type supplied in the kit - the threads are rolled from extruded sheetmetal which is then bent into the clip shape. The OEM tail light uses two of these clip nuts, to give you an idea of their strength.

The type supplied in the kit is a regular square nut tack-welded to the clip:

I'll set up a pre-order. Free shipping (until they are ready to ship next year, then I'll send an invoice)
