I am not sure cause l dont know how much the body is going to raise up. Once you install the lift you should be able to see how proportionate it looks and if you need larger tires. You might be able to find a couple pics of lifted 5 lugs to see how they turned out too.

I’ve budgeted in such a way that I can save up for a house and modify/ partially restore my truck!

• As stated above, I accidentally SNAFU’d my Toywerx grille; Gonna spend my next stimulus check on a new Raptor-style grille...
• A local guy who specializes in dent repair took a look at my truck in 2020 and said he could make the whole thing look like new again for $600 (after the office chair mishap that put a dent in my tailgate, it’s probably gonna be closer to $800; I’m hoping that since my dad is directly responsible for one dent and indirectly responsible for another, he will pay for half).
• I would like to replace the carpet in the truck.
• There are a couple of interior pieces that should be replaced.
• Foglights still have to be installed.
• ECU wire for cruise control still needs to be installed.
• Gonna have my uncle make a new wheel skin to replace the one I took a chunk out of during the snowstorm.

All in all, I’m thinking I can do all of the above for under $2,000!

Yeah no big deal, anyone that wrenches on vehicles have messed up something at sometime or another.

 

Yeah, I didn’t get into an honest-to-goodness accident with my truck until it was over five years old, had over 45K miles, and had long since been paid off; It wasn’t even my fault!

One thing I’m afraid of is that my frame is going to develop rot after the recall period is up (September of this year), and I’m going to have to either (A) initiate a lawsuit against Toyota or go to the First National Bank of Mom and Dad to pay for repairs; There’s no way in hell I can afford a full frame replacement out of pocket this year!

 

Regular cab doesn’t seem to be listed...?

I was perusing the vinyl flooring thread shown to me by a friend and fellow member, and I was planning on replacing the carpeting in my truck anyway, so I’ve decided that vinyl flooring would be the better choice; This is especially true since I have a Black Lab!

Has anyone put vinyl flooring in their 2nd Gen RC, and what brand did you go with?

Should I get the original Raptor-style HomerTaco grille or the “Ghost Raptor” one? Ghost Raptor is cheaper, but I really like the the original!

What vehicle did you get busted for DUI in? I know one guy who got a DUI in a Tacoma; It was a Super White ‘07 AC 5-lug auto with the SR5 trim...
