If I get the 6.0 ah battery. should I get the HO over the regular XC?

 

Same price. HO is heavier.

Depends on what you use it in and for. If the weight savings are really important, otherwise the HO is better for a wider variety of tools that perform best with HO batteries. Tools like super sawzall for example.

 

use milwaukee tools everyday at work. best batteries hands down from what i have found. stick with the fuel brushless and you never be disappointed. M18 and M12 tools. i can honestly say their 3/4" impacts have more torque than ive gotten out of professional air impacts with the correct compressor rating. also fuel tools carry i believe a 5 year warranty on the tool itself.

I've used the warranty twice. I have an M12 Oscillating tool and Hackzall where the battery would vibrate loose during use. In the oscillating tool the vibration eventually caused one of the battery terminals to break off. I went online and filled out the warranty form, printed out a prepaid shipping label and in about a week they sent a new replacement tool. They do require proof of purchase so save your receipts.

 

i had 2 drills (different ones) that the transmissions went on them - pretty sure it was from using them in tight places and hitting the gear selector in the middle while running them, but same thing. prepaid no questions. they dont even question the abuse when you sent them back. you are correct, i forgot about the proof of purchase. zero complaints here tho.

It's mostly for, impact, drills, lighting for now but sawzall in the near future.

Does all tools perform better with the HO battery?

 

You'll feel right at home here.

 

Regular impact drivers, drill/drivers, I prefer my smaller lighter weight batteries. Any performance difference would me too minor to notice. But when you get into the bigger tools, it’s nice to have the high output batteries. Especially sawzall or 7 1/4 circ, it I’m using them a lot I’d much prefer the 6 or 8 HO, the 12 get a little big to lug around on those

 

I think it varies by tool, usage, etc. My M18 Table and Miter saw came with the big HO batteries.

7 1/4 Miter Saw - 8.0

 

I would strongly recommend m18 fuel line. I use my drill and driver regularly and they are awesome. Several years old and still as good or better than some newer tools I’ve gotten.

I haven’t either. I have several unopened from the Homedepot sales. Trying to figure out how many to return. If they perform well in those, I’ll hang onto a couple extra. Or I’ll get an extra 12.0 and a few smaller ones.

 

I also took advantage the Home Depot promotions. Got a free HD/HO 8.0 when I bought an extra HD/HO 12.0.
