Thats absolutely insane man. I didnt read the whole thread, but IMO definetily not normal. Unfortunately most dealers are scumbags and they dont give a shit about you.

If thats normal then other trucks on their lot do the same? What a load of shit. You are not running 35s with a 6" lift or something, then i could kind of understand.

I wish you luck man, they should definetily solve this issue for you.

He's running 34" BFGs with a 3 inch lift trying to do 80mph with cruise control on his likely uncorrected speedometer. 80mph stock reading would be almost 90mph actual on a 285/75/17 tire.

Are you really that surprised its having a problem staying in 5th or 6th or his mpgs are in the dirt?

Because the truck knew you were driving 20mph over the posted limit and did you a solid by trying to slow your reckless self down.

Lucky a state trooper wasnt around to arrest you for reckless driving.

Didnt think about that the speedo might not be calibrated for 34s, good point. The dealer should have done that though.

Im not surprised at mpgs, im surprised that its running at 5300k rpms for those 3 minutes, even on flat surface. But if going 90 then yeah, thats a bit too quick. My mpgs go downhill after about 65.

    Can they?

It's picked up from the tone ring in the ABS sensor. The only way is an inline like Hypertech.

For the record, my truck sometimes gets stuck in 4th, I usually just feather the throttle and it downshifts.

Obviously you haven’t read any other posts where my POSTED SPEED LIMITS here are 75-80 on highway

A phone GPS application can confirm whether or not the speedo was corrected. I'm willing to bet it wasn't and good luck to the OP if he can get it corrected at the dealership.

You obviously didn't read the sign, in your video you clearly pass a 70mph sign while driving 90 (corrected) You realize that the posted limit is the max not the minimum

    You can't generalize speed

Speed limits "in my area" are 45-55 but I don't go driving 70 down them...

Not accurately. Phone's dont even use real GPS, they use cellular proximity tracking.

It’s not 90 as said before it’s doing 83 per gps speed, and yes I left it locked in at the speed for purpose of proving a point of what truck is doing when I need to be doing that speed, if you have nothing helpful other than to bash an issue I’m having then there is no need for you here

I'm not bashing your issue, I'm bashing your illegal actives. But its a public forum and I can be here whether you like it or not.

I'm glad you are willing to admit to driving 13mph over the posted limit.

If it's less than 1mph off the radar gun, then it's "accurate"

FWIW 60-65mph on your uncorrected speedometer is 66-72 mph and you said it holds 6th fine.

The only problem with your truck is the speedometer no longer matches the tires installed. Toyota won't correct that, the dealership might.

I doubt it. You shifted to 4th. 3k are rpms at this speed. The max rpms you can get out of 5th is about 2600 on modded AT ecus, stock ecu will force the downshift before that.

Instead being a passenger, move the stick to S and force upshift or reduce the speed to comfortable levels.
There is a flaw with upshift under high loads and speeds in D.
