Sounds like you got it real bad. You should replace your needle bearing ASAP.

I had @Superdave1.0 replace my needle bearing with the ECGS bushing yesterday. He did an awesome job. He's meticulous and makes sure the job is done right. I highly recommend him for anyone, like myself, that is a little leary about doing the job them self. I drove up up from San Diego to have it done. No more vibration!!

Hey Superdave1.0 sounds like you are pretty familiar with this install, what advice do you have for a first timer doing the needle bearing removal and bushing install?

Not an easy task. If you have pulled a cv axle out before, then it won't be too bad.

Buy the removal tool from ecgs
Buy the install tool from ecgs
Buy an axle seal just in case
Need 2 quarts of 75w-90 gear oil

At your own risk. Use jack stands
Remove LF wheel (place under truck)
    Remove axle nut
    Remove 2 lower spindle bolts
Remove sway bar link from spindle
    Drain front diff
    Remove axle
Place plastic into diff opening (large ziplock)
Remove needle bearing with ecgs tool
Install ecgs bushing straight with proper orientation

    Reassemble. Torque everything to spec
Refill diff. Torque drain and fill plugs to spec

I've read through the whole thread.
I have a 2020 Off Road, lifted 2" with Eibach kit. I have about 5k miles on it. The lift has been on for 90% of that.
I have some vibrations, but only in the gas pedal, nothing in the steering wheel, and it doesn't change with 4WD engaged.
    I'd call it a 2-3/10.

From reading through this, it doesn't sound consistent with needle bearing as there's no steering wheel vibes or "rumble strip" sound.

Any ideas? I've read a few threads of people saying some third gens just have annoying vibes in the gas pedal.

ANybody still holding onto the bushing removal tool and looking to part ways with it? All the ones in the B/S/T forum are "sold".

I have an adapted one with a larger bolt. I reckon’ that lil stubby one east coast gives is enough, but just barely. I’m not with it atm, will be a couple months most likely.

Also, @Superdave1.0 .. great write up. Seems simple enough. Just got through with mine and boy oh boy that CV axle is a fun go. Centering the C-clip for install helps, and rotating to find its position when removing I guess is the key.

Also, why buy the installer? Any the auto stores that rent tools have a race bearing installer for free.

Thanks, but trying to get it done in the next week when the bushing arrives.

Race installer? you mean a properly sized impact socket and a dead blow hammer?

Pretty much. I searched through the junk pile of PVC an couldn’t find one to fit (2” I think?), nor had a socket that size. Plus I was grabbing a bunch of other things, but yah. You got it jackson.

And no worries. I meant to come out here with it so I could ship. Mind linking to that thread so I can put it on the watch list and post when I’m back?
