I just got my order of V2 dual color dome and red map lights. Disappointed is an absolute understatement. Dome lights have horrible fitment, spring function doesn't work as the fit too tight. Dome light resistor is too small so I had to squeeze the prongs in a ton to get them to grip the Meso resistor. When to dome is coming on and going off, it’s glitchy; when the dome light goes off when set to white, two leds stay very dimly lit for 15-20 seconds. I emailed them my concerns, we’ll see.

Not sure yet... Meso is sending me replacements... I hope it was an issue with the lights themselves, and not a short in the truck... or the DMM.

Hope that’s the case. It’s certainly possible that the wires from the leds to the festoon connector could be damaged instead of the festoon socket wires. I’d suggest testing them before snapping them fully into place and pay close attention to arranging the wires when you do snap them. Not saying you didn’t before, just that it’s one place it could happen.

I had the same "issue" with the dome lights at first - a few cycles (pushing it in/out) fixed it.

Do you mean the map lights? People keep mixing up the names and it makes it very confusing.
Map lights get pushed, the dome light has a slider switch.
My map lights aren't perfect but they do get better after time. I snapped one of the the little tabs off on on side and it is a bit more loose but still works.
Yea not 10/10 but the light output is great.

Not sure what's going on with these quality issues. My new style dome fit well and haven't had any of the described issues. I was a little dissappointed about the change in plug to that smaller one kinda seems like an oversight to me. The ultimate maps I was in on the very first run and they fit well no issues but that was like 2 yrs ago it seems now.

I thought the same thing. There should be no need to pinch anything together to get it to work, not very professional imo. I don't have any issues with my dual color dome though, love the output.

My dome pattern changes. This is about as good as it gets. Too bad. I really like the red for readin’ prints in the early Mornin’. Big savings on eye drops.

is that the latest iteration of the dual color dome? I believe he’s done two versions(?)

mine (Oct ‘20) has a dual strip of red LED’s in the center, with the remainder white. Either/or are illuminated. This looks nothing like it.

Naw. Single red colour just not fully illuminated anymore. Pattern changes up some but it’s definitely on the way out.

The bottom two left leds stay dimly lit after the dome light goes off. Quality control seems to be a big issue with this many people having similar issues.

If anyone is having these issues, double check the orientation of how you installed the Map lights. I installed mine perpendicular to how they should be (it was dark and obviously no lights in the truck were on). I flipped them 90 degrees and threw in a new fuse and definitely needed my eclipse glasses!

Same thing happened to mine a while back dude. Shoot meso a note on here or his website. He’ll hook you up with a new led board. Swap is easy peasy

Everyone complaining about the lights not dimming smoothly this is because LEDs don’t dim well. This is the nature of LEDs and has nothing to do with MESO’s quality control.

if you want a super smooth dim you should stick to incandescent bulbs.

LOVE my dual color dome and white maps. The dual color dome made me realize how handy red is while driving and I’m eagerly awaiting the dual color maps when they come out.
