Still cleans up well

 

Still has the leather shifter cover and leather-wrapped wheel.

Yeah, the shifter and transfer case boot are holding up well, the steering wheel is kinda done. My hands have removed most of the the leather haha

 

Looks nice and scenic.

Funny how they used a ZJ; every time I see a comparison its always with an XJ.

 

So I'm pretty sure the new owner of my old Tacoma isn't interested in the Fox shocks I've got set aside.

What should I ask for them

ZJ would make more sense against a 4th gen.

 

Fronts, rears, roof mounted auxiliary?

 

There is a guy on Mud show has gotten to be quite good a restoring wheels as a hobby. I've seen a couple of his jobs that look very professional.

 

AKA a newer version of the ZJ.

We both mixed them up

 

WK is more around 4th Gen time frame.

But after the inline 6, the motors have been real shit storms.

 

ZJ and WK (I think) had V8 options.

They're Fox rears that fit a 1st Gen Tacoma. Well more like universal, as I had to replace the lower bushings. They're valved to be quite a bit stiffer than the Bilstein 5100s I had; worked great when carrying a load though.

 

Yeah, the unibody was reinforced quite a bit more compared to the XJ which only came in a 6.

Truth, I had a buddy with a ZJ and that thing was a POS. I really liked riding in his WK, which I guess is just a couple years after that model WJ. The WK was IFS tho huh, that explains why it didn't death wobble like every other jeep

 

Without having owned a Jeep, wouldn't know what I'd do if I got death wobble in one. Guess that's just the best time to cut out the front and go tons?
