    Mom's refrigerator went out so I scrambled my day to help her out. We tried to buy a new one, but "small town living"...
    So now I am doinking around the house.
    Good find on the top hat!

    There's a lot of self-clearance that happens on my rig. lol

    The allen head bolt that's touching the shock tower mounts is supposed to be flush with the top hat. It backed out about 7 threads and got stopped by the tower mounts.


    Yeah. I must have caught it quick. The top hat is aluminum and the bolt is grade 8. I thought for sure I would have wallowed out the threads on the receiving side. After pulling it apart and chasing them with a tap they appear fine. Got lucky for sure. Also very lucky the tower stopped that bolt from going all the way. That would have sucked. lol

    Was Sears Home Town in Bishop closed? They probably have one.

    Thanks for explaining that. I'm sure you'll be keeping an eye on that at least for awhile. Then you know some blue loctite is your friend on that application. :thumbsup:
