On another note; that email was sent 6 days ago.

If a custom rear swing out was finished late Dec, when the order was placed in Oct, it's fair to say my rear lower links should be done if I ordered them back in Jul.

Going to send the company an email and demand that I have them shipped today, or a refund.

Well if you cruise by Pasadena where I work on the 210 around lunchtime let me know, we can do a covid distant lunch break lol

Ontario is kind of a shithole, one of those inland empire desert towns full of meth heads. Nice little airport there though

No offense to anyone that lives in Ontario, truth be told I've only driven through there. I just assume all of the inland empire is full of desert meth heads

Only response I got was M-F after 4, which means I don't have to get up as early to head out but I'd be getting home late which will suck.

You're starting to sound like @JKO1998 in that he thinks the SF Bay Area represents ALL of CA

Ih8mud is an annoying dumpster fire of stupidity outside the regional forums. So much dumbassery in there with people telephoning information that their land cruiser restorer (purchased as an appreciating investment only) told them.

That's just silly, no way you can compare the crazy people that prefer living in the desert to the people of SF. Those are two completely different levels of crazy

We would get in the IL forum "where can I find a certified cruiser mechanic in the area" questions once a week. We would tell them no such person exists and work on it yourself it's easy. "Well I don't want to mess it up". Then we would tell them to sell it or give troll responses, we all get called assholes and then reported. That was like clock work lol.

Why is it you hear that statement about every other model/make

I understand if it was an RX7, cause there were specialty shops that cater to the rotary engine around here.

Outside of that, a car is a car, a truck is a truck.

Bet some guys can make some serious cash if they self-appoint themselves as a 'Land Cruiser' specialty mechanic.

Lol right? Especially a fj40 or a 60, it's a glorified farm tractor. A few people did side work but the khaki wearing yuppies either screwed them, or did the "my brakes didn't grind before you changed the water pump" type shit. After that it was a thorough vetting process of getting blackout drunk and surviving a salvo of non PC inuendo jokes and slurs for an entire evening before anyone would help anyone else out and you were "in".

Holy shit you just described a few customers that come out here with their older cars.

One customer has a 2006-07 Chrysler 300 that, although really clean exterior and all stock, lacked any maintenance all throughout its life. It's only received oil changes and nothing more.

Afterward, they came in for an expensive job which involved valve cover gaskets, water pump, belts, etc.

Ever since then, the customers constantly come back over new issues claiming "my car never did that before I brought it in"...to include squealing brakes

True but what they call salsa is usually just ketchup with some Tobasco mixed in

Why use salsa when you have ranch?
