I use the "like" as an acknowledgment that I read the post. Like if I ask a question and get a bunch of answers but don't really need to respond to each one I'll "smash that like button".

I will stick to the method of doing it on the truck without spring compressors

I approve but we'll have to consult the safety coordinator @slander on this one I think these methods are perfectly legit

Not proud of it, but they worked in a pinch and as @SearArtist said, I didn't die.

Hey man I'm a safety manager, not some low level coordinator! :D

I'm not getting paid to make that determination so knock your socks off with whatever setup you want to use LOL!!!

Whatever works. But you are also talking to the guy that relies on safety squints, just saying.

Just stumbled on this CLT thread as I'm Huntersville and have had my 3rd gen for almost two years now.

Just ordered some 5100's. Have most every tool imaginable. No issues doing the rear myself, but would anyone want to supervise the fronts? I want to do it on the truck as I'm just going to be re-using my stock off-road springs. Never have done it without a spring compressor and could go without the downtime unless someone suggests doing that way. Just getting the 5100's to level a little and to make it look a little nicer when the new tires go on.

How good is your life insurance policy? all you need are ratchet straps and pipe clamps apparently. @ovrlndkull @Bannerman

Don’t use the Auto Zone spring compressors. I thought I was gonna die. They are not meant to handle 742lb springs.

Notice how the threaded rods are bent. It’s not supposed to do that...

are you swapping your stock front springs to the 5100’s?

I’ll take the stock stuff off your hands if you want to donate to my friends charity. I’m the friend. I want them for free. :anonymous:
