I’ve tried plastidipping in the past and didn’t like the way it turned out...

Last September, some moron hit me in a parking lot and their insurance company paid out almost $450 to replace the front bumper cover; Now I have a new bumper to work with!

Unfortunately, I when was using Goo-gone and a bunch over other shit to get tape residue off the truck from the Christmas lights, some of it dripped down and ate through the finish on the front bumper! So apparently the stuff I used is safe for paint but not composite plastic trim?!?! o_O

If it was longer than that, my guess would have been faded paint, but don’t really think it should have faded in that short amount of time. Give the area a good polish and hope that fixes it.

Grit and/or fine dirt will get under those magnets. Its a good idea to remove and clean them often.

What about sanding it down and priming and painting it yourself using duplicolor and some spraymax 2000 clear and be done with it

Would it still have that composite black plastic look when finished? I don’t want it to have a smooth/painted appearance...

Like corrugated , not smooth like the paint or plastidip. If you use another brand , it will be really rough .look at my truck i did the grill . 94A0F4A6-58B4-4B5D-AA12-201410FDD10D.jpg

I met this guy with a vintage Honda moped (or is this a scooter?) in Doylestown today; I believe he said it was a 1972 model...

You spray it just like paint. Nice even side to side motions.
