I have a Kove Audio Commuter 2 that I use in the shop. It works well. It has really good bass kick for its size, which is good becuase the music that I listen to has lots of bass. It splits into 2 speakers, so you can place each half to get stereo sound. My only real complaint is that the halves aren't heavy enough. They bounce themselves off the tables from the bass kick in they're on a hard, uneven surface. Had them fall 3-4 ft onto the concrete multiple times. No visible damage or chance in sound so far.

I usually wear 3M Worktunes bluetooth headphones . They have a 24db noise reduction rating and nobody else wants to listen to most of the music I like anyway

I'm the only one in the shop, so other people's musical taste isn't an issue. I have a set of Kove Strive earphones that I wear when I'm doing yard work.

Yup! I use it in the garage, while I'm washing the cars, and used it all weekend while painting our nursery.

Same, I painted our bedroom last week haha it's nice to be able to just toss a makita battery in and have it last all day without needing to remember to charge it up or plug in a usb cable.

Lol definitely! I have a few other bt speakers and this one is much more convenient since I was using some other makita tools while I was working on the room. And I always have extra batteries charged up so its super easy.

You all like pictures of tool boxes so this is what my work set up is, 30 inch Sunex roll cart, 40 inch Snap On box, 36 inch 3 drawer horizontal file cabinet.
The Sunex roll cart is 80% of the stuff I use everyday.
Snap On box is stuff I use but not as regularly but still needs to be organized.
File cabinet is for food, drink, chemicals, and larger tool sets that come in cases that take up to much room to be in my toolbox.

For the dudes in here with M18 and M12 tools, how does the M12 Fuel impact wrench compare to the M18 Fuel version?

I have the M18 Fuel 1/2", and I'm considering the M12 Fuel 3/8" to use as a take-along. Is it worth spending the money on that extra tool, or should I not bother since I have the M18 already?

I have the M12 3/8 and it compares to my coworkers M18 3/8 compact, there are two larger sizes in the M18 line that it cannot compete with at all.
Its a great companion tool if all you have is the medium or high torque M18 guns.
The M12 is great for medium level stuff, tie rod ends, sway bar links, brakes, shocks, control arms, engine mounts, driveshafts, with a fully charged large battery it can even do lug nuts on civics, fusions, darts.

Plus it’s lighter so if you have to hold it all day that does make a different to your shoulder.

Apparently I’m ass backwards in doing things, I just ordered a pair of indoor outdoor speakers and a cheap Bluetooth receiver amp.
Hang it under shelf, put speakers either side of main door and piss off the neighbors til It melts or the cops show up. I’ve got a portable speaker that JUST. ISNT. LOUD. ENOUGH. for shop work. I use it in my service van all the time. It’s lacking there as well but it’s all I can get away with.

I have the model that is one revision older and love it for the shop. I also bought some outdoor speakers to put under the carport. The remote control is a POS but everything else is good.

For the price I expected the remote to be useless.
this is replacing a 28yo Pioneer receiver and a 35 yo pair of what were decent bookshelf reference speakers. Age, humidity and time have done all in over 20 years. I plan on putting a lot more time in the shop soon, I need to get off my azz and rebuild some stuff.

Still working on cleaning/organizing the garage but this will be happening once I have the room to move it in so I can do more organizing and rearrange more things
