    Alexander James LXP002

New microbrand out of Chicago, he started out making seiko mods, this one is based off one of his original Explorer homage mods.

For another pretty one check out his NDR001 Snowflake. That’ll be my next buy.

An Explorer has always been a grail for me, but the more microbrands I find, the more I like them. Feels good to support small mom & pop type operations.

I almost feel like we’re in the middle of a renaissance for small watchmakers, and we’ll see more and more pop up, similar to how craft beers and micro breweries have taken a huge market share from the big brewers.

Always felt that Luminox was a nice looking watch but grossly overpriced. Black Friday sale brought them down to earth a bit.

Yep, all their watches have them. They work well. Not as bright as super luminova but they work 24/7.

Apologies if you’re sick of seeing this one, but every time I put on a different strap, I love this little watch even more!

Keep it up! Such a nice looking watch. I love the clean aesthetics of a good tool watch. It's the thing I love about my Sinn too.

yeah, I have some brown leather ones but I wanted one in a darker color. It’s a cheap Ritche off Amazon.

Wife got me a Seiko 5 Sports for Christmas. My first automatic. Really enjoying it so far...except when I don’t wear it for a few days.

Try Barton Watch Bands. Good range of bands, great quality, and awesome customer service. They have an Amazon store, too.

Indeed we do. I have a 556a. Love that watch. I got a custom strap made for it shortly after I bought it. Deployant clasp and all. Sooooo good. :)
