You should have Premium and Tech in your Truck then.

Sounds like it’s time to buy a 2021 and see if it gets any better :)

I have one of them, but not both (not sure which I have). I have dual climate, blind spot monitoring, etc. However, my truck didn't come with remote start.

Since your truck is a 2017 Premium and Tech was one single package, 2018 is when they started separate packages and remote start didnt come out till around 2020 IIRC.

I believe it was available before that, but I'm not sure what the requirements were. Either way I was able to install the N2 Designs remote start and it functions as the factory one would. I also don't have any leather seats, which I'm more than ok with.

Everything I came across says Factory remote start didnt happen till 2020. Yeah Leather didn't become available until 2018, I love the heated cloth seats though!

Th only two things I would change on the truck is a single O/D gear and metal bumpers.

Only thing I'd change is the reverse gear ratio for the MT. Backing up with a load on a trailer takes more effort than it should my little opinion. Overall, 2017 MT is a unicorn, no silly auto lights, no TSS, and a key to start the engine, no car play. Just a good truck that likes to work.

Keyless/auto headlights. How could a savvy buyer not know?

Auto headlights? You would rather have auto headlights instead of non-auto headlights?

I don't like auto headlights and would want to remove that feature if I had auto headlights on a vehicle.

All you have to do is trun the switch on when headlights are needed then turn the switch off when headlights are no longer needed.

Developers of self driving vehicles monitor forums looking for folks like this.

Target market is the term I believe.

Auto headlights are the Devil. They do not come on in cloudy conditions to where you SHOULD be using them. They also won't turn on when you have the wipers on, which is state law for alot of places. If it's raining heavy it's nice to be able to see the other person, if their lights aren't on it can be hard to see them. Also since I live in a mountainous region fog is a common thing and the auto lights don't detect this very well at all. My 2021 is a good bit more sensitive then say our 2015 Camry, but still won't turn them on during certain situations. I'll flip them on myself thank you...

I was surprised there was no auto light option on a nearly 40k dollar truck when it’s been factory on tons of vehicles for over a decade. Not a big deal just a surprise

Could be the trucks are over priced. But people buy them, so there's that.

Man, i miss the stock metal bumpers on my ranger... Also there were 2 proper tow hooks in the front from the factory.
