I think it peels off and maybe you can tack weld something to what’s underneath. That sucks bad. Happened to me when I went to put my very first lift on haha

Buddy had something similar happen. I wouldn't reccomend it, but he pushed real hard down and up while loosening to gain grip on the sleeve. I can't believe he didn't snap his stuff off. Bent it really good.

Took a slightly smaller socket and a metal hammer and hammer it to where the splined part of the socket lined up with the flat part of the lug and it pinched it enough to grab it

Had 4 Wheel Parts strip a stud one time when I got new tires. They didn’t even bother fixing it or telling me about it. Guess it was my fault for not checking

My Aunt shipped me a gift that was supposed to be here on Dec 16th. She called Saturday to inquire and I magically received it yesterday. It was probably sitting at the post office the whole time.

    From AlabamaWX

DRY THROUGH TOMORROW: As the day begins we note a dense fog advisory is in effect early this morning for parts of West and Southwest Alabama; that fog should dissipate by mid-morning. Otherwise, today will be mostly sunny with a high in the mid 50s this afternoon; the average high for Birmingham on January 5 is 53. Tonight will be clear and cold; temperatures by daybreak tomorrow will drop into the 27-32 degree range. Then, during the day tomorrow expect a partly to mostly sunny sky with a high in the mid to upper 50s.

RAIN RETURNS: Clouds move in tomorrow night, and Thursday will be a very cool, wet day. Look for occasional rain with temperatures holding in the 40s all day. No severe storms, no thunder, rain amounts should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch for most communities. Light rain will linger into Thursday night as a deep, cold core upper low moves overhead. These systems can sometimes bring dynamic cooling and unexpected snow flakes, but for now all thermal values suggest just some cold rain for Alabama.

Rain ends early Friday, followed by gradual clearing. Friday’s high will be somewhere between 46 and 51 degrees.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Saturday will be a mostly sunny day; after a low in the 20s, the high will be close to 50 degrees. Sunday will be dry and cool with a high in the 40s; clouds will increase late in the day ahead of the next storm system to the west.

SNOW????? You will see snow maps plastered all over social media (mostly from people who don’t have a fundamental idea of how NWP – Numerical Weather Prediction – actually works) about the system that will impact Alabama Sunday night into Monday. Looking at deterministic model output for a system this far out really isn’t productive; it is best to use ensemble model output and probabilistic forecasts.

An ensemble is a set of forecasts that present the range of future weather possibilities. Multiple simulations are run, each with a slight variation of its initial conditions and with slightly perturbed weather models. These variations represent the inevitable uncertainty in the initial conditions and approximations in the models. They produce a range of possible weather conditions.

For now, the American model (the GFS) suggests the chance of snow greater than one inch for North Alabama is 10-20 percent; the European ensemble is a bit more aggressive with 20-30 percent probabilities. There is simply no way now to resolve specific details and provide a meaningful forecast, it is just something to watch. This system could bring a signifiant winter storm to parts of the Deep South, or just a cold rain. We will begin to have a good idea of what to expect late this week.

REST OF NEXT WEEK: After the system moves out Monday evening, the weather looks cool and dry for the middle of next week; some rain could return by Friday (January 15)… See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

ON THIS DATE IN 1962: Two tornadoes, about 100 yards apart and each making paths about 100 yards wide followed parallel paths from southeast to northwest through the edge of the Crestview, Florida’s residential area. These tornadoes killed one and injured 30 others.

I just built my own. Have so much scrap steel didn’t see much point in buying one. This cost me less than $30 because I had to buy two bearings for the back wheel shaft and two front casters from harbor freight. Easily portable on any terrain not just the concrete in the shop :)

Hard to see because it’s loaded but there’s also no straps for the tank because I cut circles in the steel for the tank to sit in with less than 1/4” gap around the tank.

Pop off the cage with a screwdriver or pair of pliers and proceed from there. Same issue happened with locking nuts on my Chevy.
