Adding keyless entry to a 2020 Tacoma??

Hi All,

I’m new to the forum and I am happy to be here. I mainly joined to ask about adding keyless entry to my brand new 2020 Tacoma. Honestly it amazes me that any new vehicle sold today would not have this most basic function.

That being said, I did do some searching but only found info of this upgrade on older Tacoma’s. Does anyone here have experience and/or advise about newer models like my 2020?

i was told by dealer that you need SR5+ Conv and Connected packages (preferably TRD Pro or OF... i forget), then phone app would allow you to remote start/stop... must have H-key or non key, press to start to go or purchase 3rd party hardware and software

Keyless entry I have, but remote start...i do not
my apologies... i misread, it is disturbing to find a new vehicle w/o keyless entry...my key IS the keyfob, ugly...buttons on the fob. ordered the MeSo flip key fob, hopefully did not destroy my chip doing install.

 

I do my remote start through the app, but I believe it depends on year
