Before I looked for a Tacoma, I looked at 06 and older full size diesels just to avoid all the emissions crap. Diesel truck prices are crazier than Taco prices, so I switched my search.

 

Maybe when they start selling DEF at the pump but having to keep boxes of that horse piss is just way too much

Apparently the plan from the before times was to bring a diesel stateside for the tacos. But it got ditched because of the pandemic, I would’ve scooped one up. But it wouldn’t have been cheap

Your initial response of "this isn't a kenworth or peterbilt" suggests diesel trucks don't come smaller than semi size.

So I gave examples of diesel engines that are small and medium displacement, that I happen to have hundreds of thousands of miles and positive experience with. I have no idea how you contrived me suggesting the jetta is a truck.

Clearly, someone got triggered by "real trucks don't have spark plugs"... because I'm not the first or even second person to suggest a diesel engine. (and you're not riding their nuts...) Now go get a Snickers and enjoy your night.

This is the only thing I like about Fiat/Jeep they are listening to the people spending money, they are doing the diesel and a giant V8 in the wrangler.

I like the ergonomics a little better and it’s different than what I’m use to. I live on an incline so I’m always using it to shift the load onto the brakes before parking.

 

Honestly the only thing I would like would be about 50 more horsepower. If motorcycles are able to get close to 200 from 1000cc why can’t I get 350 out of 3500cc?

A heated steering wheel would be nice too. I’ve been spoiled by friends and family vehicle amenities, but still love my taco.

 

My car is 3.4 and just over 300 hp. Like I said still short when compared to a 1 liter motorcycle

 

I’d love a limitless ATM in the glovebox, flame throwers front and back, and a coffee dispenser on the dash. For starters.
