We had some Friday night that melted Saturday when it turned to rain. Got about 2-3 last evening and was still flurrying on my way in at 10. You guys get much?

Ended up with 6-10 inches depending on where you were. Ski mountain got close to 8, house got 6. Nice light fluffy stuff though that snowblowed easy

Hope everyone's well tonight. Couple sore muscles here but nothing ibuprofen won't fix.

Not sure what I want to be doing moving forward; just done with toxic work environments. unfortunately, not much hiring going on...

But you know what they say, love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life...

Yeah, I'm sick of some of the people here and the shenanigans that get pulled. Also over being on nights.
Not a lot I can really do without having to swap career fields so I'm gonna try and move over to IT, which is what I planned on doing 10 years ago if I had never joined the Army.
Just want to get on days and not take too big of a pay cut..

that’s what I’m running into as well; would love to do something I actually like doing but don’t want to take an initial 20-25k pay cut.

trying to wait it out til the kids are a little older and more independent so I can do some more side work to get some change.

Oh yeah, that's a big hit.. From what I've heard, I should be able to move over without too much change, I don't think.
Worst part will probably be moving my 401k and changing all of my healthcare, etc.

Even if it is a cut, at least there should be promotion potential. This place is a dead end. I don't understand how people have worked here for 20+ years.

I'm not quite sure where I'm hoping to go with my millwright career since I'm not unionized. But I do aspire to one day wield the coffee mug my boss has on his toolbox. "Fucker in charge of you fucking fucks"

Haha, reminds me of a patch one of my guys got for me in the army. "HMFIC" for 'head motherfucker in charge'.. Granted, I wasn't THE hmfic but I was their hmfic. thought it was pretty funny.

They just recognized our whole department as the "team of the year" or some BS. Closest I think I'll get to one of those. For some odd reason, only day walkers get recognized for things they do..

Any reason I shouldn’t build a drift trike?

looks pretty easy and I want to get more into metal work and fabrication...
