Hi. I am sure this has been answered a hundred times already but I cannot find it so I will ask a dumb question. I have the stock TRD Off-road wheels on my 2018 and I want to upgrade to the Fuel Vapor wheels. From what I can find online, the stock wheels are 16x7 with +25mm offset. The Vapors are 17x9 with +1mm offset. I think this means the new wheels will stick out about 2 inches more than the stock wheels but I wanted to see if this is correct. And does anyone see any issues with changing to a 17x9 with +1mm offset? I have stock suspension and I am not looking to add a lift/levelling kit at this time. Thanks for the help!!

What kind of tires will you be using?

Yes, you're correct that you'll have approximately 2" more poke than your current wheels.

As far as issues, it depends what size tires you plan on running with them.

Thank you both! I am not looking for anything crazy for tires so I am thinking of keeping it modest for now and going with a 265/70/17... so about 1" bigger than stock but from other posts, I dont think I will have any clearance issues.

You may rub your mudflaps/plastic with the extra poke so just keep that in mind as something you may need to trim.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
I use to visualize offset. When I was learning about what those numbers meant, playing around with this calculate helped me see what they actually did.

Use this site - It will allow you to play around with the numbers and give you an idea of what it will look like and help you to under how the numbers work together.

If it's any help, 17x9 -12mm wheels on 265/70/17 will rub on stock suspension and even after being lifted like 1.5".

I appreciate everyone's help! I'm curious if the 2 inches of poke would look bad on my truck. Anyone else have this where the wheels/tires are wider than the stock fenders? Does it look odd at all?

I ran a set of SCS Ray 10s with -12 offset and loved the stance, only negative side to having your wheels pushed out is the amount of rocks that get kicked up

Isn't negative offset harder on your bearings and suspension?

Yep. Think of it like holding a 5lbs bag of sugar close to your body compared to holding that same 5lbs bag at full arm extension and see which you can hold longer.
