Is this a 4.7 V8? Which trans did you use? Did you intregrate the wiring harness your self or use some sort of engine transplant wiring harness kit?

    Great job!

its a 4.0L V8. i bought an aftermarket tranny set-up so i could use the stock tacoma W59 gearbox and convert it to a 5 speed instead of the stock lexus 4 speed automatic. im thinking about buying another kit so i canuse the R154 instead. and i did the wiring myself

What "tranny kit" did you get, do you have the company info, contact, website? I was JUST looking at using this same engine in my build. I would love to know the tranny kit is, and the custom work you had to do to wedge that engine in. :)
    thanks!

    I don't think he's gonna respond, he hasn't logged in since 2010.

I've done a little dream building with a 1uz/3uz too.

CX Racing has engine mounts: https://www.cxracing.com/ESK-1UZ-TACOMA9504
To put a manual trans behind it, Google is your friend here, just have to search for 1uz adapter plate or transmission adapter. Probably have to fab a mount or cross member for the trans.

I came across a few people that have documented the swap so your best bet is to study up on those before diving in. Your abilities vs how much you have to outsource will be a huge factor in how easy or expensive the swap is gonna be!

Good luck to you because a V8 taco totally kicks ass!
