    I'm thinking that with the 4runner because its ADD I'm going to set the sway a ways at max 2inch probably 1.5

    Even new rubber will tear apart if the fins are touching when the axle rotates

    I think that is the best reason for having manual hubs.

    True, but it just prolongs the inevitable...if the fins are rubbing they won't last as long as they should even if they only rub in 4wd with manual hubs.

    Plus the other issues that arise over time with IFS and too much lift, just a good idea to keep it under 2.5" imo no matter ADD or manual hub

    He's got those fancy new high angle CV axles though from o'reilleys...be curious to see if they allow a solid 2.5" or more of lift without the fins rubbing
