What are you streaming on Amazon, Netflix, etc?

I watched them on Disney+ and they had them listed in chronological order. It was pretty interesting watching episode 4/5 since they are a lot older like you mentioned.

 

Little bit of a side note, December 31st was time for me to play the annual game of renegotiation chicken with AT&T. You know the one. Id call and pretend to cancel, and they'd offer up a screaming 12 month deal to keep me as a loyal customer. Except this year ATT offered me nothing. 20 bucks off if I upgrade to the 1000 MB internet instead of the 300 (big whoop, I barely use 100/s) and a big fuck you for the TV package. Judging by the big line and giant pile of cable boxes being dropped at the FedEx store this afternoon, I'm guessing I'm not the only one that played this game and got called out.

Anyone else?

Ha. I wish. Last year's internet+TV will be 5 bucks cheaper than this year's internet without TV. I never watched UVerse. And I get more channels over the antenna than I was subscribed to through UVerse. So no skin off my back. But it's still a buttfucking increase in price even though I never utilized what I had.

 

When Directv was taken over by AT&T I knew it would be all downhill from then on, and it was. They lost nearly one million subscribers in one quarter alone in 2020. You would think they would get a clue like offering ala carte service instead of packages with 1000 bullshit channels and the few you watch. When they outsourced their "customer service" to people that barely speak English, and ask questions like is your TV plugged in? when you have a problem, I knew I was screwed. Rumor is ATT may dump Direc to some hedge fund or someone that will merge it with Dish. Dish was the absolute worst service I ever had. With a new streaming service popping up every day, I'm weighing my options.

 

I used to love directtv. Unfortunately the little house I moved to in 2016 is so buried in trees that it's an impossibility to get. I survived on the lowest shit tier U-verse to get my locals and mostly watched Netflix instead.

The fiancee was a little upset in losing HGTV and the hallmark channel but a funny thing happened when I hooked up the antenna. My TV said "54 channels found - would you like to add 100 free internet channels to this as well?" Huh, it's actually way better than the 80 bucks/month I was about to get slapped with.

 

Wife and I watched the Perry Mason reboot and thought it was pretty good. Looking forward to the next season. Only reason I watched it was because I thought Matthew Rhys was great on The Americans so I gave it a shot.

 

Started Cobra Kai season 3 last night! If you haven’t seen it, watch it! Especially if you were a fan of Karate Kid 1 & 2. Have to watch part 3 to answer a couple of questions from this series. The first season (especially first couple of episodes) are really cheesy. Like 80’s cheese. But it gets better.

 

Last night started kinda crappy episode 3 is decent.

That's exactly the issue I have with them. They list shows on the website, but when looking for seasons or even full episodes, they're not there. After paying for it a few months, I finally canceled it tf.

 

So over the last few days of Christmas break I’ve watched with my two older sons: Monty Python Search for the Holy grail, hitch hikers guide to the galaxy (most recent one with Mos Def), and Three Amigos.

Not too bad!

 

Binged Umbrella Academy this past weekend. Not bad, but I still don't get all the hype.

 

Finished season 1 and I'm hooked

 

That show has been..........they could have done so much.........just not my thing is probably the gist of it for me.

...^^^... I am new to AT&T and have their 1000 MB and TV for a year on special. I didn't know you could negotiate with them.

I have negotiated good deals with SiriusXM and Comcast for years ... but thought AT&T was off limits.

Any tips ? ... or just threaten to quit at the end of the first year ?

I have to use their 1000 MB internet because it's all that's here in the ground.

 

"negotiate" is a loose term when it comes to this...they technically aren't supposed to negotiate prices but when a customer calls and threatens to cancel service, they're suddenly allowed some wiggle room on prices and/or deals. Usually works, sometimes they'll tell you to pound sand. Only one way to find out
