@docloco I'm surprised you haven't heard anything back from the shop yet. Definitely been a lot longer than originally anticipated huh?

 

Yes, unfortunately so. I have faith though, so I try not get bent out shape over it.

Buyers should be realistic in your expectations about when you might or might not receive your shipment.

Group buy 23 is now 5 months old, and to my knowledge no one's order has shipped.

We were told it had entered production about six weeks ago, about 15 weeks after closing. Beyond that delay, I personally find it hard to understand how a machine shop can turn a profit while keeping a small order like this in production for six weeks.

I think the right answer is that the order is not really in production, or perhaps is in intermittent production, and keeps getting sidelined for preferred accounts, which I would say amounts to bad shop management.

I am still holding onto belief I will eventually receive my order, but it is clearly not a high priority for the machine shop, or some other party along the fulfillment chain.

 

^Agree with this being more likely... add in all the confusion on the shipping chains as well coming out of the holiday season. I expected things to calm down but watching my orders through different mail carriers is a nail biting experience.

I hope the mail carriers get their crap straightened out.

 

But has anyone got a tracking number? If it hasn't shipped, the carriers per se are not the ones to blame.

Disclaimer: The last part about shipping was me hoping for more efficiency from the carriers. Nothing like checking a tracking number every 4 hours only to see it come to a city near you and be sent off 400 miles away in another direction.

I made the order when I bought my truck in August(?) and still nothing. Almost forgot I ordered something. Then I find out another group buy opened up before fulfilling the previous. I’m sure I missed it but is there a refund option?
