I flew into Raleigh and drove to Danville. My family is from Crossnore (might have spelt that wrong) but from a few generations back. I’ve never been this far East before. There’s a lot of run down buildings here

Yeah its mostly all abandoned furniture factories. Guess it got too expensive to make here and it got sent over seas.

Im pretty sure Bassett VA (as in Bassett home furnishings) has more abandoned warehouse space and homes than that which is being used.

That’s crazy. I googled the town it’s not to far from me. Just take 58 west. I can’t get my sense of direction right over here for some reason. It’s like I’m on the other side of the states haha.

If you do the satelite image, all the big factory buildings right off 57 are abandoned. Check out the size of the factory to the left compared to the grocery store on the right. Its just rotting away.
