    Again.. just a Daily Driver work truck these days.. BUT.. leaving work today the power steering started moaning and clunking.. checked the reservoir and it was almost dry. checked for major leaks and couldnt find anything out of the normal so I wiped down everything best I could and tightened up some hose clamps a little more and topped it off with ATF. It was fine the whole way home. I just need to go through it and replace/rebuild the box and maybe check the pump again. I think the slow leak finally just emptied the reservoir.

    I did find something a little more alarming during my inspection process though. I've been noticing a clunk/pop occasionally when turning hard lock and backing up.. like something is obviously shifting. I thought it was a link or tierod wearing out. Nope. The passenger side UCA separated from the steel sleeve.. and shifts/slides along those sleeves a good 1"+. lol looks like it may have hollowed out over time.. because those are supposed to be pressed... and the pivot point is the rubber (or in my case the Poly) bushings. Instead, mine pivots on the sleeve.. lol I think I'm just going to order OEM UCAs from a import place.. because the ones in there now that are failing were from Ebay years ago when I rebuilt the front end. That was the only place I could find 2wd UCAs. Everywhere else only has 4wd. This import place has a pair of OEM 2wd ones. I think I'll get those and forego the Poly bushings this time around since they are such a PITA. I've got video of the UCA.. need to upload it.

    I didnt want to touch this stuff again until I was ready for the Motor swap and coilover conversion. I have a kit in mind I want to run for the Coilover and UCA... but not ready to spend another 1k+ right now. I tihnk I'll get the OEM UCAs and hopefully those will last me until I'm ready for the next chapter.

    Right? I can't believe I've been cruising around with that. Uppers ordered. I'll slap them in as soon as they get here. Super easy. I think they just weakened and opened up over time.. I'll have to inspect them when I pull it apart.
