Lets be honest, there are some hidden gems, but most of the public school system is dog shit these days.

That isn't an implication of the teachers (although every place has their bad apples) but the amount of bullshit the states and feds put them thru.

    Do bad, loose money.

Do well, get more money to keep doing well?

Explain that to me. I've never understood punishing schools that are fighting students AND parents to try to educate children.

also have the opportunity for a lift too, same rules apply. Would need stocks to trade.

5100s, 887s, OME Dakar medium leaf pack. Lift is still installed on the truck so you’d need to work it out with the seller. Please PM me if interested

these are not off of my truck- trying to help someone who is in a shitty situation

that’s why we bought where we did, private school that town kids go to for high school. Before this COVID pandemic, the plan was to sell when the youngest graduates and then we would find a place with less crap, but prices are way elevated and I’m not so sure what’s going to happen to the economy. So we refinanced and settling in for a bit.

And I look at NH as the fee state, they don’t charge taxes other than higher property taxes, but feel like they charge you a fee for a tissue. However, my father in law, moved from NY, refused to move to Maine as it would cost him more in taxes. So now I figure it’s 6 in one hand, half dozen in the other, unless we are talking about TAXachusetts.

We built a new jr/sr high school a few years ago, which I was very happy to vote for. No kids but still an investment in my community though.

This. My sister limited her search much more than mine back in 2003 because she had an infant and knew she was having more.

Until the infrastructure and technology is there that i can tow across states and not need to wait hours for a charge, I'll be driving a gasser. As a commuter though electric is great. Hell electric can be great for offroad as well. Im thinking when the time comes that gass vehicle prices will go up do to less supply in the area

I’m not against EVs but they got some work to do before I’ll agree they are the end all. The thought of where is this electrical power really coming from? Is it trading one evil for another? I don’t think it’s quite that bad, but there is still work to be done.

I think its more in the mining for the raw materials for the batteries that is the issue. Trash burners, natural gas burners, nuclear, and hydro seem to be the main sources of power/electricity

We need to develop nuclear energy significantly. It is the only realistic long term way to power everyone renewably.

Hydro is great and used to be a lot of the power around here, now dams are banned and they are tearing them down all over its stupid as fuck, but thats literally describing everyone involved in government.

People hate the trash burning around here too.

Exactly! Electrical power doesn't come from unicorn farts and fairy dust!

I'm hoping that when that when the day finally comes, there will always be some sort of exemption for commercial vehicles or even half ton trucks. I actually do like the 150 Powerboost, that thing has some really cool features related to the hybrid battery system.

If green energy works, makes sense and is economic, then you won't need to worry.

If they try to force it on us before its ready (like they are right now) then we have issues ahead.

This is going to force asshats like me to stay in bigger than needed trucks because I'd bet good money the commercial line of trucks will be exempt for a while. I'm all for electric vehicles, I think they're a great option for a lot of people, but I can't see towing for any distance with one. It'd take me a whole day to get to a lot of my camping spots with stops and recharge times where as now it's 4 hours and a single tank of fuel.

Even if they can make some areas more 'green', that's not going to work across the whole state or country. Some areas will lend themselves to renewable energy or nuclear energy, but you can't just snap your fingers and make that the case everywhere. Plus, you still have the batteries that no one seems to really want to address and the process of making them and then dealing with the spent battery units.

There is also a lot of time between now and 2035, so it very well could get repealed.

But if it doesn't, my wife and I will be getting two new cars in 2034, along with a lot of other people.

I don't think it would get outright repealed, but I do think concessions and revisions will be made. I can see the auto makers chugging along on their normal development and, where we're at in 2035 is where we're at. They're not going to make specific models just for MA. If a bunch of other states make similar mandates, then I'll start paying attention. I do hope they keep pushing hybrid tech, that could very well save the gas engine.

Yeah there is a ton of R&D going on now in the auto industry related to hybrids/electrification/autonomous systems. 15 years is a long time for the tech to develop. Just think of the tech in the world in 2005 compared to now. It advances at a quicker rate now too. I wouldn't be surprised if the tech and the infrastructure is in place by 2035, but to mandate it is where I think it becomes questionable and the conversation ends on here since it gets into things not allowed on here.
