If you go offroad places with lots of rocks or offcamber stuff having more travel in the rear will allow your front tires to stay more planted. Go back through and look at some of the pictures of people putting the extra inches to use.

As a general rule you want x1.5 as much travel in the rear vs front. So 9” travel up front = 14” in the rear. That is exactly as you described, extended travel front and LT rear.
You can go faster with out causing the rear end to kick up and flip your truck end over end (physics). Also you can articulate the rear to compensate for limited IFS 4x4 flex (if ur into turtle off roading).

Anyone have any issues doing shock relocation towers with Locked Off Road Hydra Bump stops?

Installing Deaver Stage 3 springs this week.

Talking with ADS, they are asking for any specific compressed numbers for this kit. Below is a paraphrase of the email they sent me. Anybody have any input?

King and Fox with short rod end 2.5x12s are around 20.25 compressed and 32.25 ext. You should not need the welded eyelet, just order the short rod, this tower can do up 23.25" compressed length by the axle tabs that can be rotated significantly

Hey guys I have a question, should I upgrade my rear bumpstops before doing the relocation kit?
I have the stock bump stops and I was wondering if the position of the shock relocation kit would be different with aftermarket bumpstops

Stock bumps are ok to set max bump height off of, be careful you don't get a ubolt flip that steals critical bump travel.
If you do get a ubolt flip, I would get the Archive Ubolt flip kit with option 3, soft engagement and allows max bump travel

Verifying you set the axle tab to 0* for 12” foxes so it’s close to parallel to the ground?

I just saw this and I just finished install.. 0700-2345 central. Would have saved me a few hours finding correct angle of I just logged on to the world.

I cycled the and suspension ended up at 15.7* with .5 inch to spare. pretty dang close.

    Thx Eric

Eric, no rub with this set up, 285/75/16 with 4.5 Back spacing, with 2” spacer. Full compression still got little more than an inch before I hit the tube

It’s unlikely that you would be able to modify your current set of shocks into the short body variety, but the experts on that would be the place you got them from.
