I think I'll at least give it a go.

Yeah. I'm going to retorque everything and see. Then take it off and drive around and see how it feels. It's usually at low speed and when I'm going up a driveway or something.

It's a great destination for outdoor activities as we but up to the Cascades (mtn biking, hiking, fishing, skiing/boarding etc).

I've been looking into getting a group together to do a leg or two of the OBDR this summer since I live minutes away from route 3. Might have to give you and @turbodb a ring once I get a plan and dates lined up.

My mom lives in Redmond. Like 10 minutes from Smith's Rock. Cool area out there.

Haha, small world. I have a Redmond address as well, but the houses across the street have a Terrebonne address. Sounds like your mom and I are neighbors.

It's a DIY job, finagling the rack around by hand to work the bushings and bolts in/out is kind of a pain but not the end of the world. That was the hardest part for me.

I think I got it done in a few hours and I generally have to follow stuff step by step looking at videos online if I haven't done it before

I used this video, the guy's commentary is pretty hilarious

I think Timmah has one too

Crouch down beside your truck and look under at the steering rack while you turn the wheel side to side...if the rack moves at all then the bushings are bad.

If you're short you might need someone else to turn the wheel, I wouldn't know as I don't have short people problems

I've never done route 3, and I'd love to do it and route 6. This summer could be interesting as our household has been pretty careful about interactions with others...but maybe we'll have vaccines by then, and if you can get Zane to join... well, that'd be awesome.

Nope...looks like a platform that gives you website/gallery templates to use for a fee, pretty common. Never heard of them but then again I've been out of the loop on that stuff for years now, I still have my website through Cargo Collective and it's so outdated it doesn't work with most smartphones anymore lol.

I keep looking at Smugmug, pretty sure they have an online sales for pros option too.

Now if only my camera weren't 10 years old.

What're you thinking? Entirety of 3, North to South, then back up to 6 on the highway? Or were you thinking of just doing part of 3 and cutting over to 6?

My camera is nearly 8 years old, if I were freelancing still I'd replace it but it's still pretty relevant tech-wise (Nikon D800). It's just kind of beat up from getting used a lot.

At work I use Canon, we have a 5D Mark III which is a little outdated by today's standards...but still works fine for what we need it to do
