0104212243b.jpg I threw on this used shell, wanted one for camping. I would've rather had one that's cab height all the way back, but there were some communication errors, and I drove almost 2 hrs to buy a different one that had apparently been sold. I figured this would do for $250. Gonna either paint it to match the truck, or spray it with rhino liner, or something like that. Carpet the inside, put in some LEDs, maybe some insulation. Wanna get it ready for some wilderness camping. I guess the extra headroom will be useful anyways. The shell actually seems to match the back of the cab, but I need to take the plastic guards off the top of the bed so that it will drop down and match up. The man said it was for a '09 taco, but I wasn't too sure if he actually knew what he was talking about.

Anyone ever seen these before or have one? I feel like it would ultimately deform the headliner. Cool idea though.

If you have a sleeping platform the bump in height will be welcomed. I tried it with a standard shell and it was too tight to be useable(DCSB problems, lol). For $250, not a bad way to go.

I think it's cool, just like the lower side console versions, but I'm not too keen on screwing through the headliner for very limited storage power. Now the one that goes in front of the seat with the option of elevating risers, that one is cool to me since it doesn't permanently change anything. That's just my opinion though.

Got my lift finished and everything bolted back up. Goes in for alignment Friday DCLB 887/5100 with Icon RXT Option 2/B110. Measurements with full tank of gas.

    Stock - Lifted
    DF 19 3/4" - 23 1/4"
    DR 21 1/4" - 25"
    PF 20" - 24"
    PR 21 1/2" - 25 1/4"

Now I am planning on adding a skid set and am anticipating the front settling down closer to 3" lift. However with a 1/4" spacer on the driver side for taco lean I am still 3/4" lower than the passenger side. Should I switch out the spacer plate for a 1/2" plate or a 3/4" plate to get it even with the passenger side?
Also pics incoming later this afternoon after work.

After three weeks running this sweet spacer lift!

I reinstalled my King coilovers that were sent off to @AccuTune Offroad for a revalve and rebuild. Those guys were great to work with. Now I wait impatiently for my new king 12” 2.5 smoothies for a rear shock relocate.

thats so cool... I hope to be able to be a friend of Santa one day

Do the 4 cylinders not use the ALT-S circuit to sense voltage and change charge voltage?

FYI: I have a spare 1/2" thick (1" lift) strut spacer that I'll never use. If you want it send me a PM.

I have a second back-ordered 1/4" spacer that is supposed to be delivered Friday. I was going to stack the two and re-measure to see if that helps get the numbers closer. If that does do the trick I will totally reach out to you so I can replace them with a single spacer.

So I don't clearly understand the spacer lift measurements fully. Mainly because I didn't plan to run spacers outside of taco lean spacer. So the lift gained from a spacer on top of the strut hat is double the thickness of the spacer? So in my case a 1/4" spacer is giving me an extra 1/2" lift on the driver side. If I replaced it with your 1/2" spacer I would get 1" of lift? Am I understanding that correctly?

Yeah they have been floating around for a while. I'm loaded up with center console and rear overhead molle racks so I's good not messing with the headliner.

Boy I sure hope you are wrong, that won't be cheap! I am keeping an eye on my MPG and will see if the light comes back in the next 30 miles.

This was my thought, I haven't heard a rattle or noticed any decrease in HP or MPG. I am curious what the average life span is of these O2 Sensors and Cats.

Hector, the guy who runs OG Fab, is a standup dude. Those molle panels are only good for about 3lbs because of the headliner. I think any more than that and you would suffer separation with the headliner pulling toward the middle.

Your numbers are going to change a little after alignment. I have the same front kit as you DCLB w/ shell, I swapped the 1/4” for a 3/8”. Also if you reversed the truck then took measurements they will be higher, this drove me nuts for a while until I figured that out.

Yeah I know everywhere lists the 887/5100 at being a 2.5-3" lift and most people are stating they see some sag down to those numbers post install and settle. Now that you mention it I dont remember what I did right before I measured. Placed it on flat ground, deflated the air bags, then measured. three quarters of an inch isnt bad and probably not very noticeable. I just know before the lift some days my rear would have an inch difference in measurements for some reason and it bugged the hell out of me cause I thought my topper was crooked.

I might just leave the 1/4" spacer in for a month and take measurements again after things settle and adjust as needed.

This is awesome! Congrats! I tried a couple years ago after reading Crom's post, and DMV said the law had changed to prevent fee avoidance. They said I needed a full-time running water sink in the truck bed and a couple other things, which made me drop it. I wonder what changed since then?
