1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Last night I was moving my wife's Rav4 in the driveway to make some room to take the trash cans out...as I cranked the steering wheel while idling forward the headlights would dim a pretty considerable amount. Can't say I've noticed that happening on my truck before.

Normal? Battery or alternator issue? It's a 2013 with ~85k miles that she recently got from her aunt and uncle, I'm fairly sure the battery might still be original so maybe it's time to replace it.

Yeah this is true. Flickr just seems neglected sometimes and Smugmug seems to have more features I'd use.

 

Corroded wiring is a possibility too, trying to draw too many amps through a wire that cannot take it anymore will lead to a voltage drop like that

 

yeah I was thinking I'll hook my Scangauge up to it and see what the battery voltage does

 

That style has always looked good on so many rigs; they're cheap...damn

Enkei RPT1 and SCS F5; either of the two I think would look good.

Can't turn off the GPS on this Pixel 3a phone I've got like I could on my older smartphones, damn Big Brother always tracking me. Maybe if I just keep it on airplane mode all the time.

@Kwikvette I was wondering why it shows 3 stops in Vegas then I remembered we had to high tail it out of that sketchy ass gas station just outside of Vegas to go to a better one with restrooms lol.

 

yeah, u cant even set ur "home" in google maps if u have ur google activity turned off. Im still annoyed about that

Actually I remember two stops on the way back, and one on the way to.

First one coming back had no restroom available but we gassed up. That's when we had to do that weird u turn to hit the highway again.

Second stop was when I hit the head, in that sketch ass station. I remember coming out and saying how the cashier was behind bullet proof glass and that they had to give me a key for the bathroom

 

Yeah the second one wasn't much better than the first, but the first one on the way back was definitely the worst...felt like we'd be stuck in the middle of some turf war any second

lol that was just a couple weeks ago when we were in Grass Valley where my wife's family lives. We were breaking enough covid restrictions as it were, even though we were being as careful as we could be. I dunno if he'd have wanted me to swing by.
