I get the first 3 (10-20-30K) for 'free' ... Which I'm guessing is already built into the initial price ... Because I know there is 'No Free Lunch' kinda' thing. But that's fine. Let someone else get oil running off their elbows...
But as you say ... I'm always worried the 'tech' doing the job. If... Just an example ... Say, I needed a new head gasket. The grizzled guy with scarred-up knuckles who has obviously been working day-in-day-out on the same engines/rigs for 20 years .. I have complete faith in.
The kid who got fired from McDonald's for being a screw-up and is now working at a dealer (Or anywhere) and being the 'Tire-rotation' monkey with a 1/2" impact in his hands, or the 'Oil/filter change' monkey ... I have zero faith in.

I have several wrenches that would work for that from various past vehicles. All not of much use since i have the 3.5 v6 canaster thing to deal with now

My ol' 750 was somewhat like that. With the stock exhaust, it was not bad getting to. I replaced mine with (At the time, the best thing going) a Kerker exhaust that was 4 into 1. It was a nightmare/mess doing an oil/filter change. Every so often, I just bought new exhaust gaskets, so I could drop the headers just a bit, and that made oil/filter change a 100x more easy. Even at that, you'd better make sure all the surfaces were spotless CLEAN and use new O-Rings.. Otherwise it was gonna piss oil.

I can't even say how many times I have been stuck in the 'installer is responsible for the integration of all modifications' problem. But that is half of the fun, right?

    Nice bike.

My first was a 2000 ZR-7, which was the end of the line for the KZ motors. The person that I work for now was the original owner. Ha!

    It was a good machine.

If you can’t get the oil filter off by hand you are installing it to tight! When you have the dealership do your oil they’ll probably tighten it too much so good luck

Of Course! (OK, we're getting off-topic, but so what .. It's my post.. LOL!)
I haven't 'rode' in 20 years... Not that I don't want too ... But where I live, I've seen 'Rider vs. Deer' at 50-60 mph and ... The rider never ever wins.

Riding was a mid-life crisis thing for me. Used a small life insurance payout for that bike and riding gear.

Yeah. Animals and drivers suck. I've also caused enough battle scars all on my own. But, it has been a fun 15yrs. Rode some amazing twisties, saw some awesome sights, and met a bunch of cool folks. I've throttled back quite a bit and just do dry days now. Side bene, no more pucking like a rabbits nose on ice.

Well ... To be fair .... I've never ever tighten up a filter beyond 'hand-tight' ... But getting it off later on down the line? That can be a whole `nother story. They can still get stuck-on pretty tight no matter how careful you might be installing a new one.
I'm not so much worried about installing a new one .. As per getting the old one off.

    Nice!

I got all excited thinking someone else had a 919 like mine. There are days when I really miss that bike [sold it]. It was a sold as hell performer

    Thanks!

I looked very hard at a 919 when I grew out of the Kawasaki. Sweet machine! I bet it sounds goood with those D&Ds?

The 919 was competing with FZ1. But then, I found out how much the Duc STs depreciated. Friggin' bargain.

LOL! Hey I getcha! There are 'road trips' and then there are (Bike) road trips.
I've been (With the recent 20 year hiatus) riding since I was 15. (I still dirt-bike up old logging trails though..)
Shit, if it wasn't for having a street-bike, my wife of 35 years, would have probably never of had any interest in me at ALL, other than I Had A BIKE!' ... LOL!! Win-win .. LOL!
She still want's me to get a bike though... But will not likely ever happen again. You reach a certain age and you just know that there are just some things you gotta let go and just enjoy the memories.

I forgot to add put oil on the O-ring you shouldn’t have a problem getting it back off by hand

I tried and tried. My wife coasted down the cul de sac once with me on the sporttourer and we did some loops with the sidecar once. I did make sure that she got to fly in the chair. But, it is just a me thing that they all support.

I still haven't found an easy replacement for that feeling of corners on a bike.

With the easy plating of just about any motorcycle now, your dirt bike might work for your wife and a rare street ride.

I'm probably gonna catch a lot of shit for this .. (Ehh, whatever) ... I think there are certain women who absolutely love/enjoy certain bikes and the vibrations that come with them ... And who also love riding horses. Wink-wink, guess why.
I was lucky enough to snag a mate that loved a certain vibration on the back of the saddle.
Call me a sexist pig, but I'll still claim it's true.
Hey, when I was 18 and taking a date out ... I made SURE that my date understood that 'You hold tight and you LEAN with me. We're NOT gonna fall/tip over .. You might THINK you are but just ... You just grab a bit tighter..' .. LOL! Wink-wink ...

If you can believe it, there was a seat for H-Ds that added a bit more vibes.

From what I hear, what you say is true. An Ex-GF of mine once claimed that she had ‘gotten quite happy’ you might say while riding one of my ATV’s (with very knobby tires) around a concrete parking lot for a few minutes. I think it’s a thing :p

If you want a cup style filter wrench get an Assenmacher TOY-730, die cast aluminum, best fit for that type of filter, $15-20 online.
The stamped steel cup wrenches are garbage, have taper due to stamping, lousy fit on filter, etc.

I absolutely believe it. Women don't really want to ride a 'Smooth-as-Silk' Honda/Kawi/Yamaha/Suzuki/etc etc.. They want to ride an old-school Harley that is going to vibrate their chaps off.
    Ehhh... Whatever works, right? LOL!!
