Buyer Beware: KTJO 4X4 Driver's Side Grab Handles w/ A Pillars, HUD, and Bowl Lights

Not surprised and par of the course for this kind of seller.

 

Well.. I set out to install mine 1.5 hours ago... for what should have been a simple job turned in to a shit show and taking the cover on and off 2 dozen times probably.

The lower nut I ended up zip-tying in to position after multiple attempts but just having the nut clip bend open while trying to get the bolt threaded

The upper nut.. well... let me tell you about the upper nut. The Chinesium bolt that was included galled up and snapped off in the nut in the a-pillar. So I had to drill it out and ended up putting in a riv-nut in the pillar.

What should have been a 5 min project turned to a total debacle (just like this whole situation) so i'm not really surprised I guess. Just shaking my head at the whole situation. I'm voting incorrect hardware based on this.

 

It's just comical because I've never even tried to send her a FB message. And now her 3 or 4 most recent posts says, "X# of comments, but when you click on it, there's either 1 or none.

 

I wonder what her new TW name is...........

That doesn't play here. The mods are crazy good at sniffing out duplicate and scammer accounts.

Unfortunately, this is it. I would suggest holding tight to see what happens after this next batch is sold. There should be a design change. It may take a while, but getting a V2 is some improvement.

Or, just live with the stock situation.

I don't have a small enough easy out since I think i broke my small ones years ago. But I do have a whole box of riv-nuts sitting around so I was able to put it to use lol

 

Using what you got is better than a trip to the store.

the covers on mine were installed out of the box. but one of the pins was smushed so it may have been better if they weren't installed.

i also managed to align the covers last night so it's not perfect but is good as it's gonna get.
