Glock has a few single stacks the 43, 43x, 42, and a couple others. Have you tried the sig 365? My friend that is a girl has small hands and handles my 19 fine newp to the 20 though

 

I don't like the angle of the grip.

I’m pretty exclusively a 1911 shooter.

 

Angle is a thing but not really the thinness issue plenty of other guns on the market that are just as thin and some which have the 1911 grip angle. Bonus is not having to carry safety on and cocked.

 

i feel better about carrying a 1911 in condition 1 than just about anything.

 

Checkout an Evo SP someday. It uses the same mags as my Kimber Micro 9

 

Why is that? The modern striker fires are just as safe and arguable safer in what would be their condition 1 in certain circumstances.

I’m not trying to say one is better than the other, I’m just giving my opinion. I like a manual safety and I shoot enough under pressure for it to be second nature to me. It’s just what I’m comfortable with.

 

Then why do their fanboys spend hundreds of dollars trying to make it shoot better?

 

You forgot the 48 it's basically a single stack 19. It's my new carry.
I'll admit, I'm a Glock fanboi.......but would never tell someone they should buy one. I'm a firm believer in get what you feel comfortable with.

If they're carry guns, they should be. I'm just talking about the guys who spend $$ on trigger and internal work and are not competition shooters.

guns are a very personal thing, especially carry guns. There is no right fit for everyone. Get what feels good in the hand and shoot the crap out of it.
