Those of yall with kiddos, what should I expect to pay for daycare for a baby? I know it gets cheaper as they get older.

Depends. Our babysitter is "home based" and only keeps 5-6 kids at a time...I pay $30/day/kid so I'm SUPERRRRRR lucky, hence the reason why she is 20mi out of my way in North Charlotte.

I have buddies that are paying $1100-1500/mo for full time daycare.

I can't wait for my kids to go to public daycare, aka school. Our oldest will probably go a year early thankfully.

Damn. I dont think I could find someone to watch my dog for $30 a day! Is that a legit daycare, just at someone's home? Like do they have insurance and certifications etc.?

I guess? :notsure: For $30/day I'm not really that concerned about it. She has treated us and our kids well, so we decided to keep them there when I got this new job.

and her daughter is super hot

$200-300 a week is what I was paying in suburbia for one. I’ve heard $2000 closer to downtown for a decent one

When were were in town I would have expected close to 2000. Not sure what to expect now that we are out in Steele Creek. The place she likes has the words "Preparatory" and "Academy" in the name which seems a little excessive for an infant......

Maybe the first 6mo or so, but after that it becomes important they get socialized. You'd be surprised how much quicker kids who go to "good" daycare advance. They actually work with the kids and help them learn versus just watching them to make sure they don't fall down.

Yeah, you aren't winning that one lol. Usually places like that also have a long waiting list, so better start checking them out now and get on the list.

Does Huntersville / Cornelius have good schools? Asking for myself. Expanding my search area for houses...Looks like most of them are all cookie cutter houses in tight neighborhoods.

They are good but not what you will find on the south side of Charlotte. Most are cookie cutter but I got lucky and found a nice “starter” house in a non cookie cutter neighborhood. Really depends on budget. We can talk more on Saturday!
