Yeah just put the pan back on and thread in 2 bolts diagonal of each other. If you were ina. Garage I'd say leave it off but if outside there are too many variables to factor in. Better safe than sorry.

I swear by E rated Cooper's AT3s as well. Not one flat since I've had my last set and this set, no nails either. They are solid 30K+ performers and almost always give me the traction I need for these sometimes freezing regional California temperatures.

I would not go with SL however as if I remember right those are still passenger style tires. You want legitimate All Terrains and the AT3s are your best bet over AT KO2s which I never liked.

All I want is a tire that performs like 35" M/T off-road and a rubber-band wrapped R compound on the street. Is that too much to ask?

Almost 5 pounds lighter than the DOT approved version!

In all seriousness, these shouldn't be used on the street. I do really like the Toyo offroad line up. I got 60K puncture free miles on the M/T. I have the R/T now, and wished I had of spent a few $ more for the MT's. I just put the Toyo AT3 on my wife's car. I like them a lot. Seems like a good tire so far.

I've been contemplating the same about swapping out the TRD beadlocks for a 17" rim and a C load tire. From what I hear they are just as durable as the Es in most situations and even better aired down for sand. Also curious if the weight reduction nets any noticeable difference on the butt dyno

I've had my Kenda RTs since Nov 2019 (10k+ miles) and more importantly, 2nd cycles of northern CA winter weather (mild). I love them and would totally buy again because of the value. WAY better in wet compared to my old Kumhos. I bought them in 35x10.5x17 and have seen then for $160/ea in that size. I believe they've bumped up their price since....
The tire are fine for bay area summers and have faired fine with any beginner trail at hollister hills offroad park (doesnt say much..green trails). Tire noise got noticeable louder after late break in period.

But, no.....they're no drag radial nor even a sticky compound. I'm almost certain any of these trucks can break traction in dry or wet with any at/rt/mt tire at regular street psi.....no tent/armor/etc and no wheelie bars allowed.

I have to feather off the line in wet conditions and be conscious about it or tires will light up.

Ive been hearing people rave about the Michelin defenders in AT size for wet/snow conditions/traction.

I have the mattgecko ones. Under rail type. Switch is near the plug outlet and power is actually ran underhood, i believe.

I would believe so based on the weight alone. E rated tires killed the MPGs and I can imagine power too

for every pound of tire weight youre looking at 4lbs of gyroscopic drag. if you shed 5lbs a tire (average from c to d load) thats almost 100lbs of force energy saved. a huge butt dyno difference on these rigs.

I’d like to find some solid D rated but not as many options but have seriously considered C rated. My buddy has them in his 4Runner still gets 17-18mpg and I can imagine power too

Your truck drove stellar with those. Could have been the trucks light weight factor but they road nice and didn’t seem that loud.

Anyone have their 6mt out of the truck? Or possibly one laying around in the corner of the garage? I need a measurement.

Yah makes sense. Wasn’t thinking about the pan. easy enough. After drain the valve body pretty easy to remove aside from trying to not lose anything?

On my naturally aspirated 1st gen V6 I went from a 16" wheel E-range 31" to a 17" wheel C-range 32", dropping over 7lbs per wheel/tire combo. I noticed a big difference in power with that slow truck.

its better going light unless its a dedicated offrod specialty rig (to me). lots of benefits, few low points, good value for what asked.
