I had an awesome boss but certain higher ups pushed him into quitting. He was the best boss I ever had

Its really true in my case.

It is what it is. He found a better job and is loving it so far. I'm hoping to get out of the Midwest in the next few years

 

We get a new supervisor every ~6 months. I'm on my 6th now. I've been here 4 years in May, first 6 months I spent in waiting doing nothing while paperwork processed.

 

only your 6th? them rookie numbers man lol

Somehow I stumbled into this as well. And while I don't always see eye to eye with my manager or necessarily like him a fair amount of the time, we've established a mutual respect for each others' area of expertise. Again, it's a weird position, but I'm exceedingly thankful for it.

 

I work from home part of the time and I work for myself in IT when people ask.

 

I'm either in my home office or on the road. It's pretty nice
