My third 1st gen tacoma and by far my favorite! So excited to have scored this truck, it is super clean! I still can't believe I got it, when I saw it, it had been on Craigslist for 7 hours. I texted the number and the seller told me there was a sale pending on it. I responded with "well if the deal by some chance falls thru, let me know". Figuring it was long gone, the next morning I get a text, "deal fell thru, buyer couldn't come up with the money". The rest is history.

Something I like to do every time I purchase a used vehicle. Pulled out all the seats and trims and gave everything a good cleaning. This tan interior is deceiving, it looked pretty clean but I pulled 3 tanks that looked like this. Had a little bit of help

Finished product for now...could have used another pass but my wrists were already hurting from scrubbing so damn much.

I had a ebay rear bumper so decided to try it on as the original chrome bumper is starting to flake with rust. While doing so we also removed receiver hitch that was pretty rusted out as they usually get over time. Cleaned it up with a flap disk and grinding wheel then coated it with some bedliner spray I had. After installing the bumper I wasn't crazy about the color. It has a nice textured coating on it but was more of a dark gray color rather than black so I masked it and sprayed it with some semi-gloss black and looks a hell of a lot better! The lack of quality is obvious but it will serve its purpose until I either build one or buy one. Also installed were super led bulbs for all rear tailights (running/brake, reverse, signals). The only lights that still need attention are the license plate lights.

She had some rock chips and scratches so I threw on a bugshield I had laying around from a previous build. Covered up the flaws nicely. Though the factory mudflaps have served their purpose by preserving the paint over the years, I am not a fan so those got removed also...

Thanks man, dig your setup! I actually have a set of SCS SR8's in dark bronze that I had on my 2nd gen taco. I had a good feeling they would look killer on the gold but seeing yours with the bronze F5's confirmed it, it looks fire!

A couple of subtle mods/upgrades. Eliminated the drl's (daytime running lamps) by cutting the White and Green wire on the harness as shown on the pic below. I started with trying to push the pin, pulling the wire out of the back of the harness but after struggling with it for a few minute I said FUQIT and just cut it. Same end result lol. Also took it in today and got the windows tinted. Did the front two to match the rear factory tint. I also had them put another layer over the rear slider. I may eventually remove the camper so this helps in darkening things up a bit.

I'm gonna get through your build thread... but for now: can you tell me what carpet/steam cleaner you have and if you like it? Looking to add one to the cleaning/detailing kit.

    Thanks.

Willing to sell? The previous owner of my truck removed them and I've been looking since.

Mine is a Bissell. I really like it, it works awesome! What i like to do is start with a little "hotter" dose of soap and let it sit for a few minutes, then go over it. Here's a link to the one I have.

I am missing the rear driver side one but I have the other 3, thats what it came with. You are welcome to them if you want them. Just cover shipping and I'll send them to you.
